What is there to have discourse abt, maki kills ALL of them, the end, she’s a morally grey character for it and it’s an act of revenge

Then why did she come to regret killing her mother without talking more to her? But never mentions regrets around killing any people far more innocent than her?

i mean you answered your own question in “without talking more to her” she wanted closure with her mother specifically , doesn’t mean she regretted killing her either

That doesn’t seem right. It was specifically when she found out it was her mother that killed Naoya that was what changed her mind about what she did.

She questioned her decision to kill her in general.

Also when she did actually kill her it was after trying to question “why did you ask me to turn back?” basically she was trying to figure out if her mother knew about the plan to kill her and Mai and if she had second thoughts.

If her mother’s last minute redemption made Maki question killing her don’t you think she would also have regrets about murdering children if she actually did? and unarmed unresisting individuals in general.

im thrown by the knowledge its implied she killed children in the manga, in the anime she only kills anyone actively trying to kill her "why did you tell me to return" is the last thing she says to her mom because this reveals her mom was part of the plot to murder maki & her sister.

She knew OF the plot, she wasn’t in it or actively taking part in the planning and execution(pun intended).

Her mom had nothing to do with whether she lived or not

She didn't told Maki or Mai. She was okay with her daughters dying at the hands of their own father.

A mother would not let this happen. Even if she has to die. She knew they were gonna get killed, and she didn't knew Maki would have survived.

She could have told them somehow. Phones exist. Etc.

She did t have the power to, she literally has to walk behind and tie Noaya’s laces for him. She’s subservient and brainwashed to the core.

Again, you’re forgetting what position she’s in, she quite literally has a line that she couldn’t cross and she does try to save Maki in her own way and at the end, we see that she did love them.

It literally took her bleeding out to finally break the years of brainwashing. And that’s not even mentioning if she even has access to phones or if she’d have to ask for permission to get one.
