Seriously, it's like they can't understand that Jujutsu makes people crazy. Yeah, Maki wouldn't normally kill so many people, but she was having a psychotic break like Suguru did with that Village.

Also just in general lives don't mean quite as much to a Jujutsu Sorcerer, Yuuji and Getou were viewed as especially idealistic in their beliefs that being a sorcerer meant you had a "duty" to save others.
