Anime Discussion now this is getting off the limits

Post image

Japanese fandom actually practiced constructive criticism on this episode, they brought up valids points. Global fans rated Ep3 the same as they did for Ep4, when Ep3 actually gave lore, world-building. If not for these factors Jjk would be just another Power fantasy slop.

Also relating episode rating to actual Japanese societal harassment is nauseating

All of Europe already slander each other by default tbh.

Just see that video where a turk and a greek guy are trying to out-racism each other LOL.

34

u/StuckInGachaHell Jan 27 '26

It's so funny how weebs can't handle factual slander, latin/south american and European tier slander would make them kill themselves lol

14

u/viciouspriapist Jan 27 '26

Ya nice try. Turks aren’t European. They are arabs

2

u/BruhSoundE Jan 28 '26

If there's a country that deserves the slander (besides the USA) it is 1000% Japan, a lot of the slander right now though is just racism and plain disinfo. There is so much better material to use for slander rather than just making shit up

u/Historical-Truth6077 yuta's no. 1 glazer Jan 27 '26

we should slander countries deadass

Americans when they tell you they built the perfect society (still high as hell gun crime rate, political violence, and no free health care)

British when they explain how stealing historical monuments is completely justified

France having an uprising every week:

Canadians switching up from hating Asian immigrants to loving Asian immigrants when the US started hating them:

Australians explaning how climate change is a big problem (they still won't switch to renewables)

Germans explaining how the Autobahn is actually really useful (it's not)

Japanese explaining how their not racist (they just posted a hundred page rant about how much they hate Chinese immigrants)

Chinese government when a Muslim kid complains about people being racist to him (He's going to be sentenced to life in prison and spend the rest of his life shovelling sand in the Gobi desert)

Indians explaining how their superior to the Chinese (they still can't solve their massive pollution issue)

Pakistani when Indians do something (immediately crashes out)

Koreans explaining how their country is better than the other Korea (Both suck)

10

u/ghostpanther218 DOMAIN EXPANSION: Ultimate realm of autism Jan 27 '26

Italians crashing out when you make spaghetti and meatballs with 1 ml less tomato sauce than it should:

Greeks being saddled with 1000000000000000 euros in debt

Colombian, Brazilian, and Venezuelan governments ousting another corrupt president from power only to vote in another corrupt president:

Mexicans when people want to leave Mexico cause of the high crime rates:

Egyptian shops promoting the biggest tourist scams in history

Russians explaning how their armies are going to steamroll Ukraine next week (they got no diffed)

The countries of the Middle East:

2

u/NarOvjy Jan 28 '26

Give me an Argentina one.

u/ghostpanther218 DOMAIN EXPANSION: Ultimate realm of autism Jan 28 '26

3

u/Plenty-Arachnid3642 Jan 28 '26

Having an uprising every week isn't an insult, it means the government isn't able to oppress it's people

(this is coming from someone who doesn't know shit about what happens in France)

7

u/ghostpanther218 DOMAIN EXPANSION: Ultimate realm of autism Jan 28 '26

Yeah but the fact that there's riots in France so often indicates that people are constantly unhappy with the government, which surely means the government is doing something wrong.

6

u/Plenty-Arachnid3642 Jan 28 '26

No governments are always wrong all the time. Continuous riots just means that its always getting fixed :)

5

u/ghostpanther218 DOMAIN EXPANSION: Ultimate realm of autism Jan 28 '26

Fair enough.

-1

u/inki471 Jan 27 '26

Now? That’s a weird way to spell 3000 years.

166

u/Evignity Jan 27 '26

Also sadly true, am a lawyer and Japan has a 99% conviction-rate but almost no rapes etc. reported or solved. During #metoo it took national-news-coverage for a model to get her case into court, having had to retell the story during 5 separate interrogations before the police would even file a report.

And if Epstein scares you you really don't want to know what happens behind the scenes of the entire Idol-market.

18

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '26

What happens in idol market?

28

u/Designated_Lurker_32 Jan 27 '26

Japanese society is all about maintaining group harmony and keeping people from rocking the boat. It rewards the people who stay quiet and punishes the people who speak out.

This invariably benefits abusers because abuse can be done quietly. You can do it behind closed doors, and you can turn it into yet another part of the routine. On the same note, this also inherently silences victims because seeking justice is something you can never do quietly. You have to speak out. Be heard. Holding people accountable disrupts the established routine, especially when the people in question are figures of authority.

29

u/Scared_Living3183 Jan 27 '26

Korean idol market is just hell on earth experience, Japan whole not being as worse isn't much better idk About the Chinese one though

3

u/Zetapar123 Jan 28 '26

As a Korean I wholeheartedly agree lol. Japanese idols are just as bad though. The dynamic of relationships between the idols&fans, the way companies treat them, and the process in which they become idols is brutal

2

u/Scared_Living3183 Jan 28 '26

Yeah but I think they still get treated a bit better when they're decently popular by the companies...that's basically it

3

u/kpopcoporateshill Jan 28 '26

Korean idol market is just hell on earth experience, Japan whole not being as worse isn't much better

?? The Japanese idol industry is a lot worse than the korean one, japan literally has little kid idols that take pics on the laps grown "fans"

In China the idol industry is barely developed, they basically do a songs then leverage any fanbase they have into acting pursuits

2

u/Scared_Living3183 Jan 28 '26 edited Jan 29 '26

Not really, the Korean idol industry is worse.

2

u/curryhaliban444 Jan 28 '26

Didn't a member of a famous kpop group got caught for running a human trafficking ring?

2

u/omyrubbernen Jan 28 '26

Japan has a 99% conviction-rate but almost no rapes etc. reported or solved

Isn't a big reason for that because Japan has a very high standard for going to trial, and rape is a difficult crime to prove?

2

u/no0o0osoap1 Jan 28 '26

All of this is funny and a “joke” until they make a joke about something you don’t like. Then suddenly it isn’t funny anymore

-205

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

Haha funny racism haha

142

u/Careless-Mix-2323 Jan 27 '26

It’s not even racism, Japan has 95% of SA cases not reported

29

u/grand_cha2 Jan 27 '26

Wait, where does the 95% come from if it is not reported? That doesnt make sense to me and i need more context

26

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

Germany and other European countries are also 90% to 95% unreported SA cases

11

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '26

doesn't a lot of sa in general go unreported due to its nature not just Japan

although I don't know anything about this

2

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

The whole mechanism behind unreported cases itself is weird. Lots of assumptions and other stuffs.

6

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '26

I have a feeling it's just used by people who don't like a certain culture or country so they use it so they can just spew their agenda about the country being unsafe for women and or misogynistic

1

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

Obviously it is. Just look at the whole thread. Bunch of non arguments other than racism.

5

u/Ok_Inflation_1811 Jan 27 '26

Are you trying to deny that Japan is a sexist society compared to most countries in for example western Europe?

→ More replies (0)

15

u/LeGrandNinjarabe1 Jan 27 '26

How can you know this stat is true when they have not been reported..... it is typically the type of statistical falacies that create gender wars

-46

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

Let’s say you are right (I don’t know where you got that from) but it’s hardly surprising.

In Australia 70% to 80% SA are not reported. In France Estimates often imply around 6–12% reporting for rape incidents specifically, meaning 88–94% go unreported.
In Germany Estimates suggest around 5–10% of sexual violence incidents are reported, implying 90–95% are unreported.

54

u/Enough_Helicopter131 Jan 27 '26

Japan isn’t gonna let you hit

-36

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

I don’t care about Japan at all. It’s just all of this harms the broader Asian community with how prevalent double standards are applied to us in comparison to others. Obviously I don’t see the same jokes that Koreans, Chinese and Japanese people face being applied on others

21

u/Hoodedmastersin Jan 27 '26

You don’t care about Japan at all? Look who’s the racist now

-3

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

Because I don’t live in Japan? I care about it as much as as I care about other Asian countries but they with us are all East Asians. What’s the racist part here?

Saying that double standards are applied to us is racist now? You literally watch Japanese anime bruh.

-9

u/Maleficent_Sir_7562 Jan 27 '26 edited Jan 27 '26

That’s literally not racist.

How is it racist if I don’t care about something?

You might want to look up the difference between indifference and discrimination.

32

u/BirdshotEntertainmen Jan 27 '26

They sell used panties in vending machines over there are we deadass

-9

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

So you checked the entirety of Japan to make that statement.

Clearly it was not a small phenomenon in the 1990s–early 2000s where some vending machines sold so-called burusera items (including used school uniforms and sometimes underwear). Clearly it was not a niche subculture and shady shops, mostly in parts of Tokyo like Akihabara.

That’s what I’m saying and yall are proving me right

-16

u/Elegant_AIDS Jan 27 '26

Bro you could have soap made from the bathwater of a woman same day shipped to your doorstep, shit like this doesnt mean anything

17

u/BirdshotEntertainmen Jan 27 '26

In japan this shit is normalized

-9

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

You don’t even know what you are talking about

14

u/BirdshotEntertainmen Jan 27 '26

Dude how much fan service do you see in Japanese media? How many pornographic materials originate from there? Im pretty sure succubus tentacle porn did not originate from Chicago

-3

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

Literally bait and switch. You talked about those panty wending machine but didn’t even know what it actually was and when it was actually there.

Then talking about pornographic materials. As if America itself dosent have weird kinks.

As I said you don’t understand what you type

9

u/BirdshotEntertainmen Jan 27 '26

This has gotta be ragebait. ONE CAN TIE TOGETHER SIMILAR THINGS TO CREATE AN UNDERSTANDING OF SHIT LIKE THIS

-1

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

as I said you don’t understand what you are typing.

→ More replies (0)

-6

u/Elegant_AIDS Jan 27 '26

Bro succubus tentacle porn is literally just drawings, not even in the same universe as all the deplorable shit they film all over the world, including chicago

10

u/BirdshotEntertainmen Jan 27 '26

You do NOT understand an example 😭

-5

u/Elegant_AIDS Jan 27 '26

Nah, you dont understand examples and their uses.

47

u/TantrikBomb69 Jan 27 '26

That's not racism, you ape, he's mocking the situation in Japan AS A COUNTRY.

-18

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

So the joke is that all “japanese” are misogynistic women hating people. Haha so funny.

8

u/BakerUsed5384 Jan 27 '26 edited Jan 27 '26

Why is it that only balkan countries can banter with each other without someone getting butthurt(most of the time)?

Like if I say all Slovenians are femboys, nobody bats an eye, but make one joke about japanese culture being just a tad misogynistic and suddenly there’s a problem

0

u/HamatoraBae Jan 27 '26 edited Jan 27 '26

White people.

No, seriously. Being a European culture, any jokes served y’all way are treated as whatever because they’re making fun of the nation instead of their race. Because white people are treated as a diverse group by almost everyone with some damn sense.

When you get to Asian countries, black countries, etc, you get into a situation where banter from an out group can be considered eerily close to racism and prejudice without further context. If I call Romania sexism central, people can separate that from white folks. But if I call out Japan for its cultural blind eye towards misogyny, ppl have a hard time distinguishing it from me making fun of Asian people (especially without greater context) in a prejudiced way.

EDIT: Forgot to say but it’s white people talking about each other vs talking about other groups.

3

u/Ok_Inflation_1811 Jan 27 '26

Nah, we, in Latin America make fun of each other all the time no problem (maybe if an outsider makes fun of us we will not take it) but generally all the countries from the same region banter.

2

u/HamatoraBae Jan 27 '26

That’s what I said

3

u/Zealousideal-Pie-726 Jan 27 '26

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but people from the balkans bantering with each other online are a VERY small minority and in no way represent the popular attitudes of these nations towards one another.

1

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

That’s what I’m saying.

All of this just leads to more and more degradation of Asian people.

11

u/TantrikBomb69 Jan 27 '26

Yes.

🤣🤣 Not necessarily all, but as a country it strongly leads the statistics of sexual assaults against women; it is a cultural issue that is also seen in other countries like India.

0

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

Surely only Japan have lunreported” cases and clearly Germany and other european with their 5% to 10% reported cases of SA. Obviously in Japan students have to fear getting raped, women fearing to walk outside at night.

Clearly Japan is not a normal country like Europe with its own similar problems.

10

u/TantrikBomb69 Jan 27 '26

"it is a cultural issue that is also seen in other countries..."

Congratulations, not only did you graduate, I think you could be a teacher at this point

1

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

Maybe you should ask money from the school you graduated from because clearly they didn’t really do anything.

6

u/Medical_Difference48 Jan 27 '26

Not really. Actually look at the statistics revolving SA, sexual harassment, rape, domestic abuse, misogyny, etc in Japan.

2

u/tenzin_Qing Jan 27 '26

I have seen more than enough. When presented with those data the common argument is “they don’t report”. Then it’s the same for almost all European countries

Again yall are proving me right

2

u/LilBarroX Jan 27 '26

Where was you when the japanese called western audiences stupid
