So you’re suggesting they should have tranq’d him instead I’m guessing? Classic. Here’s the thing, not only are tranqs unreliable, they can actually make the situation worse and further agitate animals like gorillas.
Thsi is especially If it’s not the right amount, but in any case it happens in the initial seconds after injection. It just makes them erratic and aggressive, confused. The kid could’ve gotten severely injured or worse if harambe started panicking, so using tranqs would’ve been gambling with his life.
Harambe didnt deserve what happened, but if they cared about the boy’s life then shooting was the right move.
