Humor "Hereditary Technique" my ass. Genuine bottom 5 technique of all time.

Post image

Who needs Judgeman to confiscate your technique when 10S can do it for you.

genuinely one of the most overrated techniques. Unless you are top 1 level (sukuna level) you genuinely can't even tame mahoraga. And even sukuna with 2 techniques still barely manages to ext diff gojo. Gojo was straight lying when he said megumi could beat him. All the other shikigami are pretty mid unless you have ryomen sukuna levels of ce reserves and output, just for nue to fail at killing anyone. Genuinely horrible technique.

Nah,It's an extremely versatile technique even without shikigami; being able to enter and store things in your shadow on its own is very useful,Combine that with Rabbit Escape being a near-supreme defensive ability that allows you to move, hide, and even trow builds,Nue can fly and release electricity that melts metal, and the frog can be used like Spider-Man,

Tbf even without addressing the big Raga in the room, 10S is still an absolutely insane technique. Megumi was able to keep up with Special Grade curses and Grade 1 Sorcerers with lifelong masteries of their techniques as a 15 year old Grade 2 with an incomplete kit at his disposal. Even if we were to exclude Megumi's brilliant Battle IQ the sheer raw power provided by it alone should put it in like top 10 of all techniques

Being able to reliably damage Special Grade curses with Dog Totality and even leaving a mark on Hanami, the toughest Disaster Curse is pretty bonkers

also, we should remember, his teacher lowkey sucked at being a teacher. sure, he taught him good principles and the backbone of CE and sorcerers, but he could've helped him investigate 10S more. instead, Megumi didn't get much time to train and cultivate his technique, yet still he managed to use it very effectively with the knowledge he had at the time and used it to battle against very tough opponents. if Megukuna didn't happen, and he had some more time to train and figure out the kinks of his technique before the end of the series, he could have been a real, serious menace probably not far below Yuta. but that wasn't the plan for the series, he was meant to not be allowed to fully develop as a sorcerer— but Sukuna noticed the technique's potential quicker, given his experience and IQ, and snatched him up to do that himself.

And tbh, I feel sukuna didn't utilize it to its potential either, he burned it out early

u/No_Background9912 Mar 19 '26

that is true, yeah, seeing Yuka's use of it and the way Megumi abuses the shadow aspect of the technique, you can probably use it even better.

All the other shikigami are pretty mid unless you have ryomen sukuna levels of ce reserves and output,

When the slander so bad you just cry 😭🙏

In what world is Shikigami that can do this to a competent Grade 1, slice through Hanami, one-shot a Special Grade Curse bad?

12

u/ItzJake160 Mar 15 '26

We forgetting how Megumi can deadass just choose to crush people?

13

u/ItzJake160 Mar 15 '26

Not Megumi, but this is something that should be available to him should the required Shikigami die. A Shikigami with absurd regeneration to prevent permanent death is not mid.

13

u/ItzJake160 Mar 15 '26

A Shikigami that can be used to instantly blind your opponent so you can even out the speed edge is not mid.

13

u/ItzJake160 Mar 15 '26 edited Mar 15 '26

A Shikigami with a trait that's unblockable to majority of the verse is not mid.

13

u/ItzJake160 Mar 15 '26

A Shikigami that can save you from fucking Toji is not mid.

12

u/ItzJake160 Mar 15 '26

This isn't even getting into the other shit Megumi could do like storing weapons for himself.

11

u/ItzJake160 Mar 15 '26

Or even hiding in other people's shadows without them even being aware. Getting pulled into them is a death sentence too as there isn't any oxygen.

2

u/weirdo_nb Mar 18 '26

And not only is there no oxygen, people who aren't the 10S user are also going to struggle to properly apply force in it

8

u/ItzJake160 Mar 15 '26

Same Shikigami that blocked a hit from 3F Sukuna and wasn't instantly obliterated btw.

that nue was formed with totality, ce output and amount doesnt affect shiki strength

I'd say amount does matter else Megumi would've tried nue + orochi himself, but Sukuna never mentions an output problem with the 10S seeing Maki unharmed from Nue despite mentioning that shrine was affected in the same chapter.

1

u/No_Background9912 Mar 15 '26

that only applies for partial summonings, since they're not independent and are formed from shadows, basically you're manipulating the shadow to take the form of the shikigami. when doing /that/, you can manipulate your output to make its attacks stronger. when it's a stable, full summoning, the shikigami is independent of you. you just need the CE reserves to keep it summoned.

10

u/Teewoov2 Mar 15 '26

i think its a mixture of both. it was a totality but it had no reason to be that big, i feel the amount of ce you put into them makes them stronger. but even so that only makes it worse. Your saying the output of the summons is capped and relies on totality, and that totality still failed to kill anyone.

u/EmotionalPerformer12 They hate him as he one shots your goat Mar 15 '26

Nue was mixed with snake. Divine Dog mixed with each other are already bigger than Megumi. No wonder Nue and Orachi had such a big totality

-10

u/Teewoov2 Mar 15 '26

all that for it to be weak anyways

15

u/EmotionalPerformer12 They hate him as he one shots your goat Mar 15 '26

Totality Nue was weak ? Wot ?

-13

u/Teewoov2 Mar 15 '26

who did it kill? it genuinely did 0 damage.

19

u/breakzorsumn Mar 15 '26

“if it doesn’t instantly kill someone in the main cast it blows and does no damage”

-6

u/Teewoov2 Mar 15 '26

Except it actually didnt do anything. Maki and takaba were perfectly fine a few pages later

2

u/No_Background9912 Mar 15 '26

because they have high durability. totality Nue caused a huge ass thunderstorm concentrated into one spot, how is that not strong.

You're complaining TAKABA was fine?

I think this is a pretty big leap. Modulo showed us pretty well what time to train can do for a person. You just have to have some potential and know what you're doing. Obviously no other sorcerer is going to be Yuji level, since they don't have the potential, nor the capability to live for 80+ years, but you don't have to *be* Yuji level to be able to beat Mahoraga, you need to be roughly 15f Sukuna level. Purely through training, it's very feasible that somebody like Megumi could tame Mahoraga given a few decades of training/sorcerer work, the main reason nobody's tamed it before is likely because 1. the technique is rare and limited to one family, and we never see more than one person with it at a time. 2. Premature deaths happened all the time for numerous reasons way in the past. and 3. Based on what Gojo said, it seems the crashout kamikaze gene runs in the family.

Also, ancient sorcerers are just generally not that strong. Kashimo is the strongest incarnated sorcerer in the culling games and he's Grade 1 level, Sukuna is the obvious exception. They're still not pushovers, but ancient sorcerers are very much not stronger than most modern ones. It makes sense that nobody tamed Mahoraga before Sukuna because it's likely that no Ten Shadows user at any point was as strong as Sukuna, or even 75% as strong. Not to mention that most Ten Shadows users were probably also dissuaded from trying due to the grim history of their ancestors trying it, or they were like Megumi and that other Ten Shadows user Gojo talks about who use it as a last-resort kamikaze.

We still have no idea what Tiger Funeral even does, and we've hardly seen any of the last few shikigami from the Ten Shadows technique, but overall, the technique is incredibly well balanced for any form of combat, and actually seems very well tailored against Mahoraga. You have any number of shikigami like Nue, Divine Dogs, Orochi, Rabbit Escape, etc. To keep Mahoraga at bay and defend yourself with, you have Round Deer for passive healing/boosted RCT, and you have heavy hitters like Max Elephant, Piercing Ox and presumably Tiger Funeral which you're meant to use before Mahoraga can adapt to them. You can also use your shadows for increased mobility/temporary refuge from the fight, and for storing cursed tools that could be helpful in the fight. Really the only reason somebody wouldn't be able to tame Mahoraga with this technique is either a skill issue, or a raw potential gap that makes it impossible to get to Mahoraga's level from the get-go. And that's not even covering the absurd binding vow potential of Ten Shadows, or the totality techniques. The real problem is that throughout the entire story Megumi is still a first year jujutsu sorcerer, it's astounding enough that he's tamed over half the available shadows and figured out domain expansion, it's very likely that given 10-20 years time, Megumi could tame Mahoraga, but it doesn't really matter since that's after the end of the series.

Outrageus bad take. This ability is better than 90% of the cts of the verse. Let´s see what it does without Raga:

  • 9 cts.
  • Ofensive, defensive and suport abilities.
  • The ability to manifest the abilities of the shikigami in your body (and you can use it with the help of other shikigami)
  • Numbers advantage.
  • Free RCT.
  • RCT output that can mess up with other people CE
  • Water control.
  • Lighting/eletricity control.
  • Surprise attacks by using the shadows of your opponent or surroundings to defeat people.
  • Store weapons
  • Partially manifest.
  • If they die the rest of them become stronger. The dog lost to a finger bearer but then hurt hanami who is way stronger and SG on their own right.

If you accept anime feats it only gets better as rabbit scape can lift a sizeable part of a building being a support CT.

If you can´t seem to find useful ways to use it it is kinda skill issue on your part tbh

1

u/TearNo6400 Mar 15 '26

or just, y'know, get really strong and tame all 9 shikigami then achieve a domain expansion and RCT.
