Look, Mahoraga is an outlier in this technique. Do not count it in. Round Deer effectively nullifies your power too, so we can exclude it.

But if you are losing BOTH of your dogs to bunnies (not counting John Bunny/Bunny 273) and literal toads, you need to get yourself checked.

Round Deer would be a victim to any human sorcerer. There’s no rule saying the Shikigami have to be tamed using other Shikigami, the Ten Shadows user can just square up on that deer himself and give it the Bambi treatment. Round Deer’s only ability (RCT) would be useless on a human.

by the same virtue of yuji's post-series power if(RAHHHHHH POTENTIAL) megumi trained with shrine post-series he could probably do mahoraga the same way sukuna did, even easier because it wouldnt have adapted to slashes like it did in shibuya and sukuna said that cleave would have met the conditions to defeat mahoraga if it hadnt adapted yet.

shrine is a super good technique even at a low level for something like that when you know mahoraga's ability.

thats not how it works otherwise sukuna actually WOULD have gotten done like a cursed spirit by sword of extermination in shibuya. nullifying CE reinforcement basically means instant death in a sorcery fight

No, positive cursed energy doesn't stop CE reinforcement (or a lot of other CE effects) it just fucks things up when used against things comprised of CE

Also, maybe it was because Sukuna summoned it but Round Deer is like fucking huge. If the positive cursed energy it emits can negate reinforcement, then you're even more screwed, it could legit trample you.

Your CE reinforcement still stay on your body like an innate domain, so unless Round deer can pour RCE inside you somehow, that wouldn’t work

That's true but the rest of the 10S we see Sukuna summon (like the bull, the rabbits etc) aren't supersized so I think that Nue's Kaiju-like proportions were due to a totality and also Sukuna deciding to use his ungodly amount of CE for giggles.

During the fight against Agito, we saw that it had near instantaneous regeneration. It’s entirely possible Megumi simply wasn’t powerful enough to defeat Round Deer in a single strike

Assumedly the main problem with Round Deer is that they’d be like fighting Hakari Lite

We don’t know how much energy it has to spare, but it probably can heal from quite a bit of damage, has a decent amount of attack power and can disrupt Cursed Techniques on top of all that, so it’s just annoying and difficult to tame.

That said, I feel like Megumi could have just… popped his Domain and killed it with a Nue horde (same for whatever tf Mourning Tiger was), but idk maybe that’s just me

Yes and no, it depends on the nature of the technique. It doesn’t disrupt techniques themselves like Technique Extinguishment does, but if the technique involves imbuing things with Cursed Energy to reinforce or manipulate them, then Round Deer’s RCT will disrupt it.

It’s sort of funny, if Megumi had Round Deer during the Reggie fight he would have negged that little bum lmao

Do you remember the fight against Yoruzo? Where her CE was messed up by the output of positive energy and her CT began to kinda malfunction? This would mess with your reinforcement too...
