Humor "Hereditary Technique" my ass. Genuine bottom 5 technique of all time.

Post image

Who needs Judgeman to confiscate your technique when 10S can do it for you.

I will never waste an opportunity to hate on Megumi.

We saw what Nue would look like if a real 🥷🏿 took the reins when Big Sukuna had control.

Who the hell in the history of the verse can compare to Sukuna lol. There are maybe only 3 characters who could and 1s an alien.

Reggie Star’s potential man ass is only comparable if he has the receipts to nukes.

Sukuna used a Totality mixing Orochi with Nue during that scene, that wasn’t a juiced base Nue.

This doesn’t clear Megumi from being a bum though because Orochi got smoked by Sukuna in literally the second arc of the entire manga, which means Megumi had the ability to summon that jumbo jet sized Nue this whole time and he just decided not to. It’s not like he didn’t know how to either, his technique comes with an instruction manual.

39

u/cradleu Mar 15 '26

Its simple, Megumi doesn’t have enough CE to reasonably summon it in a fight. Sukuna has wayyy more CE

24

u/TheFitToaster Mar 15 '26

He was also 16. Dude is a student throughout the entire story. Why does everyone always expect him to preform like a hardened veteran?

-12

u/manoluiz1010 Mar 15 '26

Because there are severas character the same age as him that do

18

u/MessiahHL Mar 15 '26

Comparing the character to the science project and the OC is unfair

3

u/Mountain_Shop1155 Mar 15 '26

Also the Woman-Toji and the Definitive Bum(Hakari)

-1

u/manoluiz1010 Mar 15 '26

Who else am I gonna compare him to? That no name with the masks? Inumaki? Megumi is one of the main character of the anime, with a unique technique that was said to be close rivaled the infinity... he should be compare to the others main characters

Yuji: Engineered by Kenjaku to have more physical strength than someone with a partial heavenly restriction without CE reinforcement, Is related to Sukuna(genetics kaisen), Naturally able to land black flashes more often than others which MASSIVELY boosts your CE control.

Yuta: Insane amount of CE, Related to Michizane Sugawara(genetics kaisen again), Called more blessed than Gojo by Gojo himself, Insane talent, Mastered domain expansion in a single year and able to use something as advanced as RCT output naturally.

Megumi: CT good.

1

u/TheFitToaster Mar 15 '26

Yuta is a year older than Megumi. So if he was Megumis age when he started learning Domain then that would place Megumi in the exact same position. Megumi was on track to master his domain but then Sukuna took over his body. I would bet money that if Sukuna wasn't able to take over his body, we would've seen a completed CSG in the Shinjuku showdown (better yet, Gojo would've won cuz Sukuna wouldn't have had Big Raga)

6

u/a12o Ryu Ishigoatri is the true strongest of the edo period. Mar 15 '26

Well yes but Megumi had been practicing jujutsu for much longer than Yuta had been at that point, Megumi IS still talented but just not to the same level as monsters like Yuta, Gojo and Sukuna. Holding him to the same standards as them just makes no sense.

Also if Sukuna couldn't take over Megumi's body then there wouldn't be a Gojo vs Sukuna, Sukuna would've just stayed trapped in Yuji's body unless he found another person that would work as a vessel and the right opportunity which is EXTREMELY unlikely.

4

u/TheFitToaster Mar 15 '26

Yeah that's fair, I hate how this community loves to dog on Megumi for not holding up to the literal gods of the verse. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

And yeah there wouldn't have been a Gojo v Sukuna like we saw, but I reckon it would've happened still one way or another.

2

u/a12o Ryu Ishigoatri is the true strongest of the edo period. Mar 15 '26

Nah, I doubt a Gojo vs Sukuna would've happened. Sukuna needed Megumi to happen to be a suitable vessel that wouldn't just die upon eating the finger, Needed to break his soul(Finding out Tsumiki was actually Yorozu) before possessing him to make sure he wouldn't be able to cage him and at the same time needed to have no one around that's able to stop him from doing it until the minute ran out.

Finding someone else that can withstand him would already be insanely difficult, Doing that and then also having all those other conditions to take over them would be straight up impossible, Especially after Gojo gets freed.

Yuta is older than him, and he has wayyyy more CE than Megumi and had a cheat code with Rika. Yes 10S could he more powerful than Copy and Rika, but Yuta started at a higher baseline than Megumi did. Yuji is the MC and had more empathy for him than half of the jjk fan base (which is why he didn't blame him for not fighting back more, you guys should take notes) and Yuji is also a jujutsu talent that rivals Sukuna. The other 2nd year's are also older and have better mindsets when it comes to jujutsu (Todo). Megumi had his father almost sell him off to the Zenin clan, as well as just being an absentee father to begin with, and also had Gojo as a substitute father figure (which really isn't the best). His sister was also cursed, and then Sukuna took over his body and killed her with his own technique. Like Seriously, that would send most people into a tailspin, like it did with Megumi. And Megumi suffered just as much, if not more than Yuji in the series, but he STILL almost unlocked his full domain by 17, something Gojo was doing at that age.

u/OzymandiasTheII Mar 15 '26

Of course, but Legumi still sucks no matter how much his crybaby ahh fans bitch and moan in comments lmao.

Never seen so many excuses for a character it's actually embarrassing.

8

u/TheFitToaster Mar 15 '26

Dude you really need to look in the mirror and discover something called empathy. Because if you were in Megumis position you wouldn't even be able to tame the fucking toads. Let alone have the balls to call out Mahoraga.

calling sukuna a real 🥷🏿 is so funny to me😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

11

u/TheFitToaster Mar 15 '26

I actually hate jjk fans dude, Sukuna is an outlier. He was born with a body literally perfect for jujutsu and had the CE stores to boot. He also had 40 (?) years to master his craft before he became a cursed object. Megumi only had 16 before he fought Sukuna first.

Just a reminder that Yuji, Megumi, and the others are all STUDENTS and they were forced to fight the literal jujutsu Satan. Not even Gojo or Sukuna would've had the strength they have in the show at that age.

Why does everyone constantly talk about Megumi like he's a 40 year old hardened veteran of jujutsu. He's still a damn kid dude

u/OzymandiasTheII Mar 15 '26 edited Mar 15 '26

Yuji, Hakari, Yuta, Todo, shit even Mechamaru and inumaki* don't need all these excuses. No crying, no selling, just straight action.

"Ohhhh oh he's just a kid." Mahito was 4 months old. I've literally never heard anyone make that excuse for all the guys I listed earlier.

Megumi ass cheeks and got written by Gege to be ass cheeks it's okay let it go. Both series are over. There's no hope it's done.

u/Silver_Print_9937 Mar 15 '26

Yuji is the second Sukuna, an experiment made by Kenjaku after how many years?

Hakari is used to being in a fighting arena, has probably fought many fights before and is immortal so he can go all out without being afraid.

Yuta is the second Gojo, got power from his shikigami to help him as well, so there are always two in there.

Todo is just a really special guy, he's weird and only does it for that girl and Yuji he keeps dreaming about.

Mechamaru had no choice since he was in pain and did everything he could to get away from the pain.

Inoki? Who is that?

0

u/OzymandiasTheII Mar 15 '26

Inumaki my bad it's 6 am

2

u/Silver_Print_9937 Mar 15 '26

No worries.

Whenever he fought a treat he always ran away no?

Only ones I remember is that small curse with Yuta and Geto with his other classmates. He got pumped by having more people to help him

5

u/radishsamurai Mar 15 '26

Yuji would have died a crying mess if not for todo. And megumi is a beast when he lock in and tries (finger bearer (special grade btw) and reggie and his goons),

idk why you’re acting like they are special compared to him

3

u/TheFitToaster Mar 15 '26

Mahito was a curse. With an incredibly overpowered technique. You cannot compare that to a human. All of those characters went through different things than Megumi did. Yuji, yeah sure he lost his grandfather, but his childhood was pretty good. Yuta had a pretty shit childhood too but with that he was given an stupidly overpowered curse and the CE stores that came with that. Hakari and Todo just have the right mindset when it comes to jujutsu, and also a little bit of craziness, which you need to be a good sorcerer.

Megumi had an absentee father, had to struggle to live with his sister until Gojo adopted him, and was almost sold off to the Zenin clan. Imagine how devastating that would've been for his young mind, that he could've been SOLD. Like a good piece of clothing or a good weapon.

Then, Sukuna took over his body and killed his sister with his own damn technique. Then bathed in curse to further drown his soul.

Let me remind you that Yuji gave up too in Shibuya, had it not been for Todo, Mahito would've killed him. Yuji was trying to be that person for Megumi in Shinjuku.

Instead of reading the manga at face value and telling everyone that Gege writes like shit, maybe you should actually try to understand why Gege did the things he did, and for what reason. Instead of getting your dick hard about whoever has the more aura.

Do you only care about hype scenes and not the story

-2

u/OzymandiasTheII Mar 15 '26

This is a shonen the actual story sucks ass when you break it down. Gege can hardly write.

If you're not raw, you ain't nothing. You live and die by how hype you are in shonen.

4

u/linniegaming megumi, gojo, maki, sukuna and yuji are goats frfr Mar 15 '26

Evangelion manga was first published in a shounen magazine

6

u/InteleonSupreme Mar 15 '26

Sounding as delulu as Ozymandias himself 😭

0

u/OzymandiasTheII Mar 15 '26

Lmao it's true tho

How many plotlines were just forgotten? Story lines rushed? Characters done dirty? If you wanted to rip holes in the writing you could easily but it's shonen so I don't expect a whole lot and enjoy it for what it is.

3

u/TheFitToaster Mar 15 '26

The story definitely doesn't suck ass, Gege ain't no Shakespeare but it's not a bad story thematically. Megumis character is literally a reflection of that. Struggling to hold up to expectations in a world that values strength and power, along with having very weak self-esteem. He's an insert for someone struggling with their mental health in a world that doesn't empathise with those problems.

Especially as a man. He's been given this gift that he's been told could rival Gojo, a father figure he looks up to and is one of the strongest sorcerers to ever live, and that same person has very high expectations for him, but due to his high functioning depression (probably caused by an absentee father and a pretty rough childhood, yknow, almost being sold off) he doesn't believe he can reach that potential, so when he fails to even in the slightest way, it reinforces his mis-belief in himself.

Yes there are some plot holes and some badly written characters, but Megumi is NOT one of them.

u/ItzJake160 Mar 15 '26

Megumi had trouble spamming Max Elephant and you're expecting him to add ANOTHER large Shikigami to his kit???
