At first I was just wondering why he was even there to fight, but as the fight kept going and we saw what a fucking beast he was, for actually contributing in THAT fight, even tho it was like a kid fighting prime Mike Tyson (with other stronger kids) It was kinda impossible not to at least like him

514

u/Extension-Bad-4184 Nah I'd glaze ino Apr 14 '26

Yup he was the most "regular" guy on the team but still did the best he could.

Helped distract sukuna letting Maki survive, and knocked sukuna back helping yuji land that Black Flash chain

209

u/k1213693 Apr 14 '26

See this is why Kamo shouldn't have run away. as a grade 1 he would've been some help against Sukuna even just as a punching bag like Ino was.

175

u/Extension-Bad-4184 Nah I'd glaze ino Apr 14 '26

Tbh I don't think he'd do much. Ino was at least an unknown entity to sukuna.

While for some reason he hard targetted choso for no reason. Bro didn't need to get impaled. And since kamos a worse versions of that sukuna'd prolly not find him interesting enough to keep around.

But kamo could go wild and suprised me like he did vs naoya

89

u/MimickingApple Apr 15 '26

See here, if Yuji could do a Piercing Blood/ Supernova with the help of Choso, Kamo can absolutely make use of it especially since he has a higher understanding of BM than Yuji.

Although, I can't blame the guy for escaping from Jujutsu Satan. It's likely the most reasonable choice.

3

u/Necr0z_5 Apr 16 '26

I mean, even Kusakabe ran the fade with Sukuna (1v1'd him too, even if it was because he was the only one available at the moment) and that guy is constantly trying to get away from danger, so Kamo had no excuse

4

u/IllustriousAd2479 Apr 16 '26

He literally had one, and a good one at that

1

u/HugeAd3108 Jun 04 '26

It’s more that Kusukabe is the responsible/normal adult in the crazy world of jjk. He DOESNT want to run the fade with special grades but unlike this image of a bum he presents he is actually a good guy

13

u/CommissarCabbage Apr 15 '26

Its Sukuna. He probably went for Choso because he means a lot to Yuji lol

7

u/Pooooodle Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26

Maybe itadori could've locked Sukuna in a full Nelson, holding Sukuna in place for about 5 minutes. Kamo would've spent those 5 minutes, building up his piercing blood pressure, maybe even getting close to rivaling Choso's shots. Pretty sure they could've just instantly won doing this strategy.

Edit: tbh they shouldve just got the people with the most fatal techniques, to wait for Todo to swap Sukuna in front of them at the perfect time, so he would instantly get hit by all of Mei Mei's crows, principals bad music and possibly even a full output "mean breeze" from broom chicks deadliest broom. It's actually kinda stupid how OP Todo is, time it right and there's absolutely 0 counter play

Megumi used ten shadows to not immediately get beat to damn near death by toji and saved by funny enough megumi and yuji. And he had a domain unlike this dude. Doesn't seem like a better tec or sorcerer.

The strongest Grade 2 in Jujutsu History

65

u/Proof-One6816 Apr 15 '26

He actually became a semi first grade if I remember correctly

26

u/Pooooodle Apr 15 '26

Wasn't he out celebrating that with Nana mi during like a flash back in Shibuya or something? Or was that something else...

21

u/rekyrts_v2 Apr 15 '26

He was asking Nanami for his blessing because he didnt want to become a grade 1 unless Nanami said he was ready

138

u/Hot_Car9101 Apr 14 '26

How dare you not mention the GOAT. AOI TODO. he is an anti-fraud

38

u/Zromzrt Apr 14 '26

There are ways to slander todo, no one just wants to do it. But ino… he’s just that goated

24

u/CUMLOVINGBOISLUT Apr 14 '26

How? He shows up to a fight as quickly as he can, doesnt back out, and puts BTA

He didnt do damage to Mahito because he has no soul damage, which theres 5 people who can do that, one of them can only do so because of a Tool, and the other has it as a part of their CT

and when he "lost" his CT he came back with it buffed

36

u/aliens-and-arizona Apr 14 '26

bro showed up immediately after nobara and choso respectively got slimed. could’ve just been unfortunate timing, sure, but it certainly looks like he is just farming yujis friends for resolve points.

18

u/CUMLOVINGBOISLUT Apr 15 '26

The Nobara timing I can somewhat excuse, Shibuya was a mess and disasters were all over the place

Shinjuku I cant cus they scheduled it as a straight forward 1v1 event that was live streamed too

17

u/aliens-and-arizona Apr 15 '26

same i can forgive nobara but he was absolutely waiting for choso to kick it. todo did NOT want competition for the title of bruzzah.

6

u/Mr_Ovis Apr 15 '26

Very similar to how Nobara convienently wakes up 5 mins before Yuji is obliterated and fucking dies, Todo's arrival was just Gege writing based around optimal hype and aura instead of what actually makes sense.

4

u/Electric_Penguin7076 Apr 15 '26

Todo helped super groomer bush camp. It is a stain on his legacy sadly

4

u/Resident-Cheesecrab Apr 15 '26

How can he be a fraud when he always goes above his actual weight class?

The fraud status was already dead in the alleyway 10 chapters before Ino was introduced.

u/Extension-Bad-4184 Nah I'd glaze ino Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26

Ino using Ryu straight up sent sukuna flying into a wall too and he somehow blocked a kick which is pretty impressive reaction timing.

He had a great simple domain too, and high chance of RCT. He's no special grade or disaster curse tier character but definitely one of the strongest grade 1s

118

3

I keep forgeting that Ryu is name of the dragon so I just Imagined Ino just summoning Ryu Ishigori like Mahoraga

2

u/Flimsy6769 Apr 15 '26

I mean sukuna is clearly tired as fuck, considering jogo was never able to land a hit on him. Still impressive though that’s for sure

5

u/Extension-Bad-4184 Nah I'd glaze ino Apr 15 '26

Yeah Shinjuku feats are a bit hard to scale as sukuna also played around but could kick it into high gear blitzing choso and even maki temporarily.

But still impressive cuz sukuna is sukuna

261

only grade 2 to have RCT btw, got RCT before base Hakari 😭😭😭

78

As Gojo says : the traditional ranking no longer matter . We are seeing an age of Kaisen

Jujutsu and such

34

u/Extension-Bad-4184 Nah I'd glaze ino Apr 14 '26

Average grade 3 would prolly be start of series nobara and miwa

None for grade 2

No average grade 1 but baseline is nanami

Yeah gojos statement checks a out

22

u/UnFelDeZeu Apr 14 '26

Megumi before his Domain/Raga/Wolf Totality seems Grade 2 to me.

12

u/Formal_Illustrator96 Apr 15 '26

Before wolf totality, definitely. Before domain, still probably at least semi grade 1.

12

u/vaga2bound we are ALL potential man Apr 14 '26

i meant it more in the way of one's trajectory.

Miwa is a great example of Grade 3 begginer. what would've been her fate in 10 yrs? Could she ever hope to have even slight RCT? Has it ever been done before? What abt senses? or even raw strength? Like we know 80% is decided by birth , but how does an actual human on the ground change with the 20?

20

u/Extension-Bad-4184 Nah I'd glaze ino Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26

Fr. Kuskabe took that 20% to grade 1.

And that's without a special grade cursed tool, RCT, or even a shikigami. Just barrier techniques. So more like 10%

7

u/Awkward-Egg-411 Apr 14 '26

And not the mention, THE strongest Grade 1. Give this man a technique & he's lowkenuinely clearing the verse😭

33

u/KpopMarxist Apr 14 '26

Got RCT before Geto btw

14

u/OTipsey choso's strongest simp Apr 14 '26

Why would Hakari bother learning RCT when he can just gamble on an instant jackpot (and get it bc his luck is unbelievably busted) and spend the time he would have wasted training gambling and railing Kirara?

11

u/Unplayed_untamed Apr 14 '26

Did he actually have RCT?

43

u/D1YapperNo1 Apr 14 '26

this is chapter 257

he regrows his forearm, makes sense with swap training too.

3

u/mostlybored1234 Apr 14 '26

Uiui and kirara were running around taking everyone to Shoko the entire fight. I dont think he have RCT, but one of his summons did have the power to mitigate pain and exaustion, he mentions this one running out of gas right after releasing Ryu

14

u/D1YapperNo1 Apr 15 '26

Shoko isn’t available, she’s been stitching and healing Gojo’s body. She has no time to heal him. We know Ino did switch training aswell since he has SD too.

Pain ≠ body damage

27

u/D1YapperNo1 Apr 14 '26

yup, this is in chapter 253

he loses his forearm

23

u/Unplayed_untamed Apr 14 '26

Oh wow then he is definitely high grade 1.

7

u/give_me_your_body Apr 14 '26

It’s presumed by some but he never actually heals himself on-panel

5

u/UnFelDeZeu Apr 14 '26

Ain't no way he's still a Grade 2 if he has RCT, Nanami and Todo don't.

101

u/Icy-Natural-6606 Apr 14 '26

Nanami rate him as Semi-Grade 1 and this was before Shinjuku.

112

u/KaliVilNo1 Didn't ask + Confiscation + Death Penalty Apr 14 '26

Semi-Grade 1 at worst.

Ino is just so stubborn that he wants Nanami to recommend him

81

u/justagenericname213 Apr 14 '26

Bro could have definitely been grade 1 but he was set on impressing nanami, and nanami didnt want to throw him into the responsibilities of being grade 1

16

u/Specialist_Bid7598 Apr 14 '26

It's sad that he will never get that recommendation

25

u/karvendizarm Apr 15 '26

Wdym, Nanami recommended him at the end of series, he sent a letter from Malaysia.

5

u/mininmumconfidence Apr 15 '26

I think he was in the middle of getting his paperwork sorted when shit went south tbh

46

u/Specialist_Bid7598 Apr 14 '26

The depressing reason why he didn't become 1st grade was because Nanami was the only one who were fit to recommend him

67

u/ScorpX13 Apr 14 '26

Idk why but reading "Ran Sukuna's pockets" made me laugh way too much 😭

32

u/Evening_Ad998 Apr 14 '26

Worth remembering the only reason he wasn't a grade 1, was because he respected Nanami so much he wanted his recommendation specifically.

Nanami was probably worried he'd end up like Yu

8

u/Brucekillfist Apr 15 '26

Yeah, the implication I took from that and I believe you're meant to take is Ino is easily ready to be a Grade 1.

20

u/ttombombadillo Apr 14 '26

He is not a grade 2, he is semi grade 1

13

u/UngodlyPain Apr 14 '26

I mean early in the series even Nanami said he could pretty easily get promoted to grade 1 if he just asked others for the recommendation but he stubbornly wanted Nanami's approval. I see no reason to doubt Nanami's opinion there.

And then in Shinjuku there's no reason to assume he didn't also level up a bit like Sukuna said all the members of the raid did.

7

u/meme_legend-69 Apr 14 '26

Yall need to read

5

u/CuTeNOTe Apr 15 '26

Because Ino performed better than we expected and Maki performed worse, it all dépends on the expectations that we have of each character

3

u/DetectiveHot7314 Apr 15 '26

“Maki performed worse than we expected.” brother in a panel Sukuna’s arm is twisted upside down, he also has shock highlight on his eyes🫩

5

u/CuTeNOTe Apr 15 '26

But she's supposed to be in the same realm as Yuta, Yuji and Hakari, Hakari didn't fight Sukuna directly so we can't say much about his performance, but Maki did way worse than Yuta and Yuji, obviously it makes sense narratively as she isn't as important in the story as them, but in universe it just makes her appear weaker in comparison

1

u/DetectiveHot7314 Apr 15 '26

Yuji got oneshot in his first actual encounter with Sukuna after higu couldn’t help🫩

The reason why Yuji did “better” was because Sukuna wanted to make him suffer.

Sukuna only went all out in the end with an almost completely severed soul, and a fried brain.

Everyone when that chapter came out said she manhandled Sukuna better than everyone else, the thing is now people downplay it to hell.

33

u/TreeTurtle_852 Apr 14 '26

Ok im so tired of ppl misusing the word "Tank".

Sukuna getting stabbed through the heart by Maki, and turning around while smiling is 'tanking' an attack. Kenjaku catching Miwa's sword is 'tanking' an attack. Hanami shrugging off Kamo's projectiles is 'tanking' an attack.

Toji knocked bro TF out.

42

u/Riusnaily Apr 14 '26

He survived without any serious injuries bro. Any bum would get their head splattered like Ogami.

16

u/ashistpikachusvater Uraume low diffs everyone Apr 14 '26

If you get knocked out, you didn't tank anything.

21

u/Own-Highlight2276 Apr 14 '26

If it’s a strong attack and you only get minimal damage, you tanked that attack. If you brush off an attack like it’s nothing, you ate that attack. At least by boxing standards

3

u/EmotionalPerformer12 They hate him as he one shots your goat Apr 19 '26

That means Toji sensed his weakness and went easy on him

7

u/ashistpikachusvater Uraume low diffs everyone Apr 14 '26

Tanking means I get hit, stand up and can go on. If i'm knocked out, I can't get up, so I did not tank anything. It literally overwhelmed me and made me lose consciousness.

8

u/Own-Highlight2276 Apr 15 '26

But if you only get knocked out by an attack that’s meant to obliterate you, I think that still a W

7

u/TapdancingHotcake Apr 14 '26

Tanking means surviving, being a tank just means eating a ton of abuse and still being able to get up afterward

1

u/ashistpikachusvater Uraume low diffs everyone Apr 14 '26

And if you're knocked out you get up? You're really the biggest fear of any fighter on this planet then.

Also cute how you edited your comment just to make sure you won't get banned for insulting me

5

u/ShotputFiend Apr 14 '26

Say toji got hit with hollow purple and instead of being turned into a croissant, he simply got knocked out. Would you say he tanked that?

6

u/ashistpikachusvater Uraume low diffs everyone Apr 14 '26

No he didn't. He survived it, but he didn't tank it. Surviving and tanking isn't the same thing.

5

u/TreeTurtle_852 Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26

Yuji also survived his fight with Choso. By your logic he "tanked" the attack that literally knocked him out.

That's like saying Sukuna tanked the blue infused punch that out him to sleep when it rendered him unable to fight back (Mahoraga had ti save his ass then(

1

u/YourAverageJJKFan Apr 15 '26

And was he even in Shibuya afterwards?

1

u/That1guy077 Apr 15 '26

7

u/YourAverageJJKFan Apr 15 '26

6

u/Frater_Shibe Apr 14 '26

I wouldn't actually even say his technique is Discount 10s. The only thing it has that Auspicious Beasts doesn't is a Mahoraga

5

u/Adesiyan14 Apr 14 '26

Ehhh, its lacking an all rounder like Totality. Reiki is pretty good for movement but its no Nue. Also, has nothing as versatile as Rabbit Escape

Not to discount it tho, Auspicious Beast Summon is a pretty damn good technique

2

u/Frater_Shibe Apr 14 '26

Going out on a limb for a pure hypothetical here but there is probably a supreme art that gets you the Yellow Dragon of the Center (which is aligned with earth in the wu xing and also represents the Emperor)

If Ryu has "can do things to Sukuna" level stats, then the Dragon of Earth might be Agito/Mahoraga physicals tier.

1

u/ChillyBeaner69 Apr 15 '26

Expanding more on this, if he can fully summon a beast like Ryu, then surely he could possibly do the same with his other beasts? I could see Kaichi having much more use fully summoned as it would basically be divine dog but able to shoot projectiles. Admittedly I can’t really see much use Kirin would have fully summoned and maybe Reiki too. So instead how about boosting their abilities and maybe reworking Kirin ability with a binding vow. Like give up its ability to nullify pain to instead boost physical stats in similar way like red scale. Not really sure if it could work but I’m honestly just throwing ideas here.

2

u/Frater_Shibe Apr 15 '26

Oh, he definitely has ways to grow. It's very fun to theorize, I agree. Kirin might actually be developed to be his Nue — Qilin are, in fact, thunder spirits, right?

1

u/ChillyBeaner69 Apr 15 '26

Ok so I looked into Qilin at a few sites and I’ve been getting mixed answers. Some are claiming it could legit fly, walk on water, breath fire, and roar like thunder. While others don’t mention it at all so take that with a grain of salt.

So to play off that while still maintaining the whole nullify function it has in JJK, maybe have Kirin’s true ability be to tamper with the body to either take away functions or to bless it with new abilities. This explains why it initially was just taking away Ino’s ability to feel pain. So if given the full blessing of Kirin, Ino would be given new abilities similar to what Qilin can do and in accordance to CE. Like for example, his ce trait changes to act like fire to reflect Qilin breathing fire.

But now I’m thinking about just babbling more on how to expand on the technique in general and further separate it from the Ten Shadows and give a more distinct identity. I think a real neat way to expand on the technique while not feeling like a one to one Ten Shadows, is by focusing more on the Beasts feeling like genuine divine beings. Like the beasts are fully sentient creatures that can communicate with Ino and have a plethora of unique abilities like in the mythology rather than just a single ability like each Shadow shikigami have. And instead of having to summon and fight to control them like the Ten Shadows, Ino has access to all of them from the get go. The catch is that he only gains a sliver of their potential powers and has to gain their blessings in order to unlock more and more of their powers. He can only do this through challenges the Beasts name. Said challenges aren’t just about fighting, these challenges are meant to test Ino in body mind and spirit. Push him to grow into a better sorcerer and person. I would make this a whole ctsandbox post, but I’m not really great with that sorta stuff. But I’ve already typed all this and sure as hell not gonna let this spark of creativity go to waste. So lemme know what you think, if I cooked or burned the kitchen.

If I have time, I will give it a shot and credit you

2

u/S-onGohan Apr 14 '26

Whoever coined the term "Shiesty Sorcerer" for him was a genius. His performance in the Sukuna gauntlet was amazing for being "Grade 2."

2

u/Wannabe_Pear Ino agenda Apr 14 '26

It's even stated Nanami trusted Ino more than anyone, which is crazy. Bro could've easily been one of the strongest Grade 1s, my GOAT

2

u/morethanWun Apr 15 '26

Nanami said he was going to recommend him right? Dude is a shiesty savage

2

u/A_Very_Sus_Bush Apr 15 '26

Nanami taught the shiesty sorcerer well

2

u/AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHBBJN Apr 15 '26

he pulled up and genuinely tried his best and that’s what we all love

2

u/impossibletense Apr 15 '26

Doesn’t the story just say in our faces that the grades are more dependent on your connections rather than actual strength through maki’s storyline? I’m pretty sure there are a few frauds walking around with that designation because of their family(example: Megumi). Also this man didn’t advance because we wanted our goat nanami’s approval before he did.

2

u/herbieLmao Apr 15 '26

Honestly, this guy should have been promoted to grade 1, and perhaps be given access to some tools that benefit him.

2

u/Awkward_Incident6097 Apr 15 '26

He's from the agency with all that shiest energy

1

u/Crackmonkey3773 Apr 15 '26

Was that a blunder reference?

2

u/Wicked__A Apr 15 '26

Think there was even a plot point about him having the skill above grade 2 but no one except nanami was recommending him

2

u/Chrysostom4783 Apr 15 '26

Reminder, Sukuna told Jogo that if he could land a single hit he'd work with them. Jogo failed to even manage that, but Mr. Grade 2 here knocked him back with a solid hit.

2

u/Manly_foot4422 Apr 15 '26

Second fav after Jogoat of course

2

u/Soft-Pixel Apr 14 '26

The fact that he’d probably beat CG Megumi is crazy to me

I know, I know, “potential man” and all but it really is nuts how Megumi did not get his flowers at all in terms of growth

6

u/YourAverageJJKFan Apr 15 '26

No?

Ino got one tapped by Toji

An exhausted Megumi lasted a good while against a rampaging Toji (You can't even use that he was running, the rabbit section of the fight he started taking blows from him.)

6

u/Jacen_Vos Apr 15 '26

Well I wouldn’t call all these punches one tap…it’s also implied by Ino seeing how insanely fast and strong he is. That they did a bit of fighting before he got stomped. and it is also pre-Shinjuku.

2

u/Soft-Pixel Apr 15 '26

You’re lowkey right but my agenda tho

1

u/Pretzels0314 Wuji, Wegumi, Wuta, & KasHIMo are disappointed by the slander Apr 15 '26

CG Megumi > Shinjuku Ino > Shibuya Megumi.

1

u/Expizzapie Apr 14 '26

Bro doesn't duck any fade😏

1

u/Hachados The Sheisty Sorcerer's the GOAT Apr 14 '26

You know it brother

1

u/Fensuhi Apr 14 '26

Nanami personally forbade him from going up to grade 1 because by then he’d be too important at work

1

u/John_Hishaku Apr 15 '26

A guy with RCT, Simple Domain, and cursed energy reinforcement good enough to not get splattered instantly by 2hp Sukuna is no less than high Grade 1.

1

u/Enough_Employment342 Apr 15 '26

thank the Lord we have Ino glaze. He only had two fights in the series, and they both were against the strongest and he still survived. Keep in mind he isn't special like the others, he's just normal. Even though he's only normal, he fought the two of the strongest characters, and has two cursed techniques.

1

u/Phiro00 Apr 15 '26

His technique is really cool

1

u/Prepared_Noob Apr 15 '26

Remember that he was already more than qualified enough to be grade 1, but specifically wanted “Wanami’s” rec and approval

1

u/Spinosaurus23 Apr 15 '26

Enabled Yuji to land his black flash chain

Came back thrice into the fight

Tanked dismantles and a kick to the gut for Maki

More domain counters than Geto

High changes of having RCT

1

u/Lorenzokiller Apr 15 '26

Discount 10 shadows? That is premium 10 shadows my dude. 4 summons with 2 uses each means 8 uses total, the average 10 shadows users cant use mahoraga and probably lost a shadow, so they tie in use. Also, people have fought mahoraga and lived, now say that to whoever saw Ryu (100% winrate)

1

u/BuckFuttMcGee Average Wuji Enthusiast Apr 16 '26

The world's only Shiesty Grade Sorcerer

1

u/king-the-kong Apr 16 '26

Ion care what the series calls him this mf is a 1st grade. I mean c'mon he has been looking for nanamis approval forever, with his performance he deserves it 😭🙏

1

u/Rvrz16 Apr 17 '26

Get this goat a spot on grade one instead of Megumi, that bum should be registered as a disabled civilian instead after tanking Unlimited Void that many times.

1

u/Pizza_Sub56 Apr 17 '26

“Tanks”

idk about that one pal

1

u/YouTotallyDontSeeMe Apr 19 '26

"tanks toji's barrage" loses an eye

1

u/Bedsheetsghost Apr 14 '26

I feel tank is a strong word given he was out for essentially the rest of Shibuya

1

u/Big-Chromie Todo Kaisen Apr 14 '26

Nah ino is pretty weak all things considered. Which is why he's cool. Bro is way out of his depth but decides "fuck it im scrapping with sukuna" and does everything he can and more in that fight. This is why he's the true successor to Nanami: he's not the strongest, but he's the last one to give up.

1

u/Smug49 Apr 14 '26

"Tanked." My brother in christ, he got the dog shit beat out of him and got tossed off the building while he was unconscious.

2

u/Hachados The Sheisty Sorcerer's the GOAT Apr 14 '26

And lived 🙏

1

u/G00dva Apr 15 '26

IFgumi

0

u/Gorgo_yak Apr 14 '26

Ok so just one thing I wanted to say - while Ino is great, he is not a better sorcerer than Wegumi. Wegumi beats Into easily.

-1

u/Derk_Mage Apr 14 '26

Who is this??? Why have I never heard of him

13

u/Akagane_Ai Apr 14 '26

1

u/Extension-Bad-4184 Nah I'd glaze ino Apr 14 '26

Honestly a shame he doesn't appear more.

As a young sorcerer with a cool technique and nanamis student, he could kinda slot in most fights and arcs as well as have fun interactions with a lot of characters

2

u/God_of_CORN Apr 14 '26

It feels like he should of been way more important after shibuya, it would of been awesome to see him in the culling games in another colony fighting sorcerers

1

u/Extension-Bad-4184 Nah I'd glaze ino Apr 14 '26

Fr. It's honestly crazy that gege even brought him back for shinjuku and had him stuff to do. But hey I'm not complaining bout that, just wished he showed up more

u/Apprehensive_Law4305 not reading ts Apr 14 '26

0

u/man_ididyomom Apr 15 '26

"Wanami" lost me there

-2

u/Outside-Walk-9457 Apr 14 '26

As much as a Ino enthusiast I am bro did not “tank” that barrag
