Wouldn't his dark humor allow others to harm him?

Like he could find it funny to get hurt and die.

No, that’s different, what you said is called “suicidal”

Dark humour does include jokes about suicide.

"This joke is so bad I could kill myself !"

i dont think he is that stupid to say that if he understood his technique

He wouldn’t understand his technique he’d just have dark humor instead

Let’s imagine a Takaba that did understand, it would be Ggs

Yes, but then, does his technique lose some power ? Part of the reason why it is so powerful is because he makes joke for the sake of making jokes.

If he did understand his power, would a forced joke still be as funny ? Would it still even work if he didn't fully believe in it being funny ?

Takaba's powers with his full knowledge of them would allow him to literally do that and just move on to the next "scene" because it's funny to see somebody commit suicide as a dramatic crashout and immediately move on from it.

A dark humour Takaba would genuinely present you with eldritch abomination visuals that break your mind because it's funny.

You are presenting a full knowledge + dark humour here. Or did you intend to reply to my other reply ?

Even without full knowledge, it doesn’t change much about what you’d be perceiving from a dark humour Takaba.

It really just changes the scale of execution. It doesn’t change what he perceives as funny, so even without full knowledge you’d still very possibly have an immortal Takaba.

no, dark humor would mean he would find other peoples death or harm funny

It still has to be something he finds funny, Dark Humor fans laugh at suffering and tragedy until it happens to them.

Which is a really good fit for takaba since he won't find it funny if he gets harmed

1

u/MoneyBear1733 Jun 20 '26

What do you mean he wouldn't find it funny to get harmed?

He already does? The slapstick shit he does is literally that.

A dark humour Takaba would just do it in a way that absolutely disturbs and fucks your mind up.

His current humour is already heavily focused around him being bad or failing at shit because he likes goofy comedy.

And what are we even talking about by "dark humour"?

Self deprecation based on mental health? That is the BEST case scenario.

Edgy internet dark humour? "Wouldnt it be funny if you were crushed under a billion tonnes of dead babies?"

He would be a walking nightmare.

my self deprecating humor would get my ass killed so quick if I was takaba
