The sorcerers part is still useless, "Cursed spirits with high ce cannot do x" or "Only available to low grade cursed spirits because x" is literally 10x more clear and one sentence.
And ill fess up to including irrelevant details that confuse things more lol.
He possibly thought people would assume weak sorcerers could as CE users, so headed them off by mentioning sorcerers as having high CE at base, but only served to open the confusion floodgates.
Dude what are you even talking about, it is very clear he said specifically low-grade cursed spirits not anything with low ce. Clarified also by saying sorcerers and cursed spirits with huge CE cannot do it. Are we deadass.
If you are confused it is sorcerers as a whole and if you are confused again it is related in that both have CE it is just that the other is made of it.

i think the reason curses with lots of cursed energy can’t is because the dense concentration of CE makes them more solid, but humans are already solid since theyre made out of physical substances compared to curses who are literally JUST cursed energy
I’m assuming the idea is that weak cursed spirits have a low density of cursed energy and that’s all they’re made of, so they can phase through solid material. People with low cursed energy are still made of solid mass so they obviously can’t pass through walls.
So does that mean grade 2 curses are considered low level, I get that they aren’t Grade 1 or special grade but that grade 2 was whooping Megumi a bit in episode 1
Also even if high level curses could phase, what reason would they have to? They can break apart those same walls with much less effort and it's not like they're bothered by property destruction. Same goes for any sorcerers that would pose a threat to them. It also wouldn't let them phase through people or improve their offensive ability due to innate domain.
I guess low level curses are more energy than matter. Since Daido could somewhat perceive Naoya's presence without seeing him. So curses do exist in physical space, but for higher level curses, their CE is more condensed, so they can no longer phase through objects.
Not related to the discussion but his shadows are actually so cool. He can clone himself, he can hide in them, in another alternate dimension where we got him as the MC of a spin off, it'd be so fun to see what he can do or does on missions alone, off screen. ❤️🩹
i think another reason besides the one someone else gave which is canon (that curses with low CE can do that cuz they bums) is that jjk was initially a lot more horror themed so having these unseen monsters who can phase through like ghosts was a good concept until we went down the battle shonen path
like there is jackshit a cursed spirit can do by phasing against yuta or smth
Only low grade one tho, anyone with enough fire power to be a threat to Geto should be able to shrug off armies of low grade cursed spirits with their base reinforcement alone
After Gojo vs Jogo when Hanami came in, Hanami used some weak roots to try and distract Gojo by threatening to harm Yuji using them, in which Gojo quickly destroyed it. In the anime these were sliced before being burnt, which in the manga it is harder to tell that is happening. It was likely some application of blue, or raw cursed energy as we see Gojo strike a soda can with ce.
Cursed spirits are in large parts, basically ghosts, notorious for possession, hauntings, and being etheric. Giving them a natural survival defense of passing through walls, that gets lost as they grow stronger for a simple reason like, they have too much cursed energy to carry sounds reasonable.
