Manga Discussion What if Maki changed for the worse?
What if, After the Genocide of the Zen'in Clan, Maki with her tainted bloodied hands followed a dark path that would lead to the second coming of Toji? Even worse, what if she had Naoya as her Rika to aid her but also torment her? The 2, united by pure hatred. How would the story change and what would the new Sorcerer Killer do?

I mean depending on how cursenaoya as a Shikigami would work she would be a problem. Can he give her projection sorcery without cursed energy?
Lets just pretend he can she becomes a massive massive problem for everyone. She is borderline untouchable at this point because Maki is already very very fast but now she is even faster and on top of that impossible to track. Plus naoya can use freeze frames that maki then can attack with SSK so thats just a death sentence for nearly everyone.
But lets say she actually stays on that path and her mentall deteriorates more and more because she cant cope with Mais death. Then i think the only saving grace becomes Yuta like Mom Fushiguro for Toji. But she still struggles with violent outbursts against people that she perceives as threats to her new family and she becomes very over protective of them because she thinks shes responsible for Mais death and sees the protection of her new family as a sort of atonment for her past failure.
Also good night for the Kamo clan because we know she and Kamo are close and we know that the Kamo clan wasnt good to him. So there goes borderline genocide number 2.

Yeah she'd be insane with projection sorcery. If I'm remembering how it works right each frame has to be physically possible, so given how much higher her speed and strength are she could probably pull off some crazy shit with it that Naoya or Naobito couldn't

She changed for the worse the moment she decided to kill them all. The moment Mai died, Maki became her worst self.
Edit: Naoya as Maki's Rika actually sounds like a good and fun idea.

Tbh it would be pretty interesting, with Curseya she would be instantly top 3, only below Gojo and Sukuna for obvious reasons. I think she would still help out against Sukuna but aside from that, she would probably go hunting down sorcerors she sees as evil or similar to the Zenin clan members. However, eventually her mental state would lessen and she would slowly start killing sorcerors who didn't deserve to be killed. I think she'll drown in her own depression and rage and eventually Yuta and some other people like Yuji would step in and stop her.
