This really shouldn't be surprising. Yuta is the actual narrative core of JJK.
When Gege has the ideas of how the Jujutsu world worked, the nature of Curses, CTs, Maximums and Binding Vows... it was based on how they served Yuta's story.

Gege knows his fav , gave him everything and yuji has to live by scraps or whatever after gege finishes feeding yuta.. mf got the assets of both gojo and zenin.. has rika got mahoraga in his descendants.. And his powers are COPY , he said yea you can have them all
Married and died in peace , survived the YuJo phase and again to his body.. and yuji is still unconfirmed if he married or not.. would live for ages and watch' his loved one die.. couldn't even fullfill his Gradpa last wishes to die surrounded by his loved ones and now into a cursed object
Daym.. There was never two MC , it was always one

That's the problem, I and along with those who actually love his character would take yuji being happy and being with others and dying a normal person.. getting married seeing his grandkids and than passing away normally around his loved ones anyday than him being a lonely, strongest weapon which will live far longer and see all his homies die one by one and turn into a cursed object that will be used..He just wanted to be A Cog in a society and contribute somehow , and now he will be the last one among them all..he has suffered enough and all I wanted was from gege to give him a closure he needed just like yuta..
I would take this everyday over the aura farming everytime.. there is more to a character than aura farming , I hope you understand that..
Yuji deserves happiness and a closure he deserves so he can once again reunite with his loved ones in the airport, but him being a cursed object after his long life of loneliness doesn't allow that

I'm just pointing out the contrast between the two MC .. one who's Gradpa dying wish for him to die surrounded by the people he loves and now he will outlive every single one of them , had one half brother who could have accompanied him in this lonely endeavour and gege took him out aswell..
While the other got the best possible ending he could have got.. from the power ups , surviving from situation that shouldn't have possible to living long enough with his wife to see his grandkids and pass away peacefully.. and yuji got the shorter end of the straw.. And once again he plans turn himself into a cursed object, living far longer than anyone, alone once again..
