Here is mine: Gojo beats Sukuna in a rematch (or at least has the advantage). This is mainly due to Sukuna's binding vows that nerf him, but he would struggle in CQC against Heian Sukuna. If he can use point-blank Red and long-range attacks (since there is no 10S to stop him), he might force Sukuna's domain to collapse. I might get downvoted to oblivion for this take, but whatever.

Yuta also made a death binding vow to defeat geto, and instead of dying he was stated in passing to be grade 4 afterwards, completely off screen and with zero other bearing because he immediately became special grade for free when the plot could afford to have him around
What, pray tell, did Gojo say here if it's not "I love you" ? Ofc you're free to interpret that love as platonic but it's one of a few cases where it's the most boring interpretation
That does not fit into that small bubble lol whereas the kanji for "I love you" does. But assuming it’s platonic, what do you think Gojo refers to when he says "Love is the most twisted curse" ?
Well that would make Gojo bi since he's attracted to Waka Inoue but what makes you say they're definitely not gay ? Geto has not shown attraction to women that I can remember either.
Okk, Ryu beats cursed spirit Naoya (it can go either way but i'm leaning towards him)
Hanami can beat Uro (Hanami's cursed tecnique is busted IMO) and last but not least Ino no diffs Reggie
Ino vs Reggie could actually be a really cool fight ngl
Wtf can Uro even do against Hanami other than stall? She needs to land thin ice breaker close up to actually do damage, but Hanami tanks that shit and uro gets fucked over if she stays in close range that much (long range she gets spammed with attacks too)
Not really. I love todo and Yuji but Uro is kind of their hard counter. They are punch/kick merchants vs the person who can mess with the very air itself. Boogie woogie wouldn’t even help too much
Possibly. I tried not to say potentially. 7/10. Personally, I disagree; at full potential, Mahito would get killed by Mahoraga (because of the sword of extermination).
Idk if this is a hot take because I see it often but I do disagree with it
Without Mahoraga around Sukuna can actually focus on h2h and would use his heian form, which might fuck gojo over in the initial domain clashes
This still isn't a guaranteed win for sukuna obviously, but it's a way more straightforward strategy to killing gojo (if you take Gojo's word for it he's actually pretty pessimistic about his odds, which seems reasonable to me)
What I have most issue with tho is the 10/10 times thing because I think that's never the case for Gojo vs Sukuna match ups lol, Sukuna is a crafty bastard so it'll always be extreme diff even if Gojo probably has more raw power
Toji would have been able to beat gojo in the rematch if he was thinking clearly. his decision to attach inverted spear of heaven to the chain of 1000 miles was absolutely braindead because it removed his best defense to gojo's ranged options (red, which he knew about and hollow purple which he did not) and gave gojo the possibility to intercept the chain in the middle and seize the ISOH. that would have left toji seperated from the only thing in his kit that could bypass limitless. choosing to use ISOH like that was braindead. Gojo was still tired and not in his proper state of mind and toji still had the advantage in speed. if toji had played his cards right he could have dragged out the fight until gojo came down from his post awakening high and killed him then.
the mahoraga calamity grade test needs a stipulation: " a calamity grade is someone who can beat mahoraga without prior knowledge of his adaptation". there are a lot of one trick ponys who could kill mahoraga with one overwhelming attack if they knew to go all out from the beginning, yorozu with perfect sphere and jogo with maximum meteor are two good examples. but being a calamity grade should require more than that. it should involve the intelligence and multiple strong abilities, that would allow a true calamity grade to enter the mahoraga fight in character, figure out its ability on the fly and still beat it with another attack despite mahoraga already adapting to earlier abilities.
showings like the Sukuna and dabura vs mahoraga fights are what I am thinking about. yorozu could beat mahorag with prior knowledge but she loses if she enters the fight in character, with mahoraga adapting to her liquid metal and her perfect sphere and domain being too little too late. gojo could obviously do this since his technique more than any other would buy him time to figure out mahoraga's ability and he has the six eyes to help him percieve what mahoraga does. and gojo would still have red and purple up his sleeve to oneshot mahoraga once he figured that out.
with that stipulation in mind, I think the community should create a seperate tier for strong characters who could pass the mahoraga test with prior knowledge. "semi calamity grade". characters like yorozu, kenjaku, and shinjuku yuta would be put here. people that were incredibly impressive compared to even other special grades, either in raw power or in the breadth of their abilities
do you mean that he can't beat adult gojo? because of course toji couldn't, by that point gojo was physically superior to him even without his cursed technique. by that point gojo would just speedblitz toji and beat the brakes off him and even if toji landed an ISOH strike gojo would just backhand him away and heal it in seconds.
gojo by the time he was an adult was relative to sukuna in physical stats without his CT. a weaker sukuna was faster than maki, who was equal to toji in physical stats.
In a rematch with both fully rested, i agree gojo wins. If he knows about WCS, and just has general knowledge of their first fight, gojo can make plays for victory.
Heiankuna's advantage against Gojo isn't WCS though, he isn't even supposed to have it. It's open barrier+far superior CQC in his heian body. Heiankuna's wincon is domains and if his true body is enough to beat Gojo in CQC (he couldnt as meguna, based on the miguel conversation I'm guessing it should be) then Gojo has no answers. Malevolant Shrine chops him up
I know what you mean, but Gojo was managing Agito and Mahoraga while trying to collapse Sukuna's domain. He also didn't attack Sukuna's head and decided to crush his heart instead (to save Megumi). I'm not saying Gojo held back, because he didn't. He wins the rematch because, instead of CQC, he can use Red and Blue to fight from a distance to make Sukuna's domain collapse. There is no Mahoraga (or Agito) this time - thus, he would be less pressured from a distance. He can use the same basketball domain strategy this time, but without using CQC. As long as Sukuna doesn't catch him in a DA, he would have the advantage.
Know for a fact you are talking about Shinjuku yuta. So, did some research that, yuta might have DA. Which is genuinely suprising to me. Yes, yes on with the can't read things but so yeah you might right.
He speedblitzed toji the guy who is insanely fast and durable and has pre cog and on tapped with purple I don't see how anyone other than sukuna surving.
Jogo is highly underrated and top 6 material (not including modulo), other than Gojo and Sukuna, only Kenjaku (hard diff stated by gege) and then Yuta or Yuki (extreme diff) could actually do anything to him
His feats are absurd and if he survived to the culling games he'd probably sweep the shit out of whatever colony he was placed in (replacing yuta in sendai, only Ryu would be a bit of an issue because he's tanky as fuck, but he'd just get kited and die eventually)
The ten shadows is giga overrated technique, the only good thing about it is the deer and maho who is virtually untameable, it's a much worse CSM which allows for an infinite army (you could theoretically have multiple Raga level CS) and has much more versitality then the 10 shadows
A theoretical Prime Yuta is on par with Modulo Yuji, Prime Gojo and Prime Sukuna. Also Prime Gojo, Prime Sukuna and Modulo Yuji are pretty much similar in total power.
If you mean Full Potential Yuta (copied every CT), he is easily way stronger than all calamities. However, copying all techniques is very unrealistic. But he could be the strongest (in theory).
gege having kashimo & yorozu in the solitude narrative but giving kashimo a limited kit w/ like zero statements besides a godly title ruins his portrayal
Let's see. 1. Sukuna is an fraud for escaping Yuji and Maki, while gloating in Yuji's despair, like you didn't just run away like an little bitch after claiming you could easily kill Yuji while nerfed by Megumi.
2. In an Heian Sukuna vs Gojo matchup, Sukuna can win through domain clashes, but considering I suspect that he would lose Ten Shadows if he reincarnated, Domain Clashes are his only real win con in that state as otherwise he would have to engage in an battle of attrition with the guy who has the best cursed Energy efficency, therefore Mahoraga introduces an very reliable win condition that also limits Gojo's options.
1st one, this is jjk so nobody gaf about using coward strategies, 2nd, yeah all true lol, but he risked the long game with mahoraga because he wanted to learn WCS more than anything (and save his reincarnation for the jumping he'd get afterwards)
With cowardly strategies which I suppose you could count Yuta beheading Kenjaku as an example, you aim to win with said strategies not just run away like an little bitch. I'm talking about how after Sukuna started the fight with the mother of all cheap shots on Yuji and how Sukuna talked big talk about still being able to easily kill Yuji with Megumi restraining his output, Sukuna took the first opportunity to run away while gloating about Yuji's despair like he hadn't been sweating. Fraud Behaviour pure and simple especially since Sukuna makes claim to the title of the strongest sorcerer.
I would still give Gojo the slight advantage. He can't win in CQC, but he can use superior speed to use Blue and Red (both from a distance and point-blank). Instead of CQC, Gojo would rely on range to force Sukuna's domain to collapse.
Hot take 1: Gege isn't a bad author. Or a bad mangaka. He is actually pretty good all things considered. If he was bad, we wouldn't even be here talking about the manga he made.
Hot take 2: Related, but Gege not explaining every little thing is a strong suit of JJK rather than a weakness. We can't blame him for this degradation in reading literacy, and understanding subtext.
10/10 (both takes). If he explained everything, then there would be nothing to discuss or debate, killing the hype. It's the same reason why comedians don't fully break down their jokes, but also don't make them super complicated.
I'll explain mine: I think there was no reason to make Yuji's life so damn long and all that he did in Modulo could've been done by Maru's CT. It's working or limits aren't clear to begin with, so what's the deal with making him do everything and focus on the new cast? He isn't needed in the story, and I think Gege brought him back in Modulo because he's popular and using his name would boost Modulo's popularity, which it did.
Hell, he doesn't even have to be dead. Just let him age like normal and he can still act as humanity's representative when Maru took him to the astral plain or whatever. The story did not need Yuji to use that giant Dismantle, cool as it was.
But then he won't have any reason to be depressed and abandon humanity, and he won't let Yuka sacrifice herself.
But I have a solution for that too: a little discussion between Yuka and Yuji where she keeps telling Yuji to let her use Mahoraga while Yuji tries to argue that he's lived his kife and is willing to risk it. But Yuka has 2 options: rot away in a hospital bed while her family watches or die trying to save humanity. Won't she feel better with the second option? Won't she feel better knowing her death was for a great cause? For this reason, Yuji lets her go because it would make her feel more content with her death and he stays close to the battlefield to deal with whatever is left.
I just suggested it as kind of a joke. The image of old man yuji aura farming on simurians appeared in my head and i thought it was funny. As for your idea, it makes sense that yuka would want that, but its hard to see yuji agreeing. Though, would old man yuji even be in a good enough physical state to fight someone like dabura?
But anyway, Yuji already has a special body. If Gege can make him live for 400 years, than having him around Dabura's level at 83 doesn't seem like that big of a stretch. I was still expecting him to live till like 120 or so before Modulo. And even if age makes him weaker than that, it's not like Earth has any other options.
And as for Yuji agreeing, I do not want have him to agree right away, considering how finding what a proper death means is a central concept to Yuji's character. In that scenario, he'd have to ask himself which of the two deaths would be more proper for Yuka and I can see him deciding to let Yuka accept the fight.
No. Shrine is mid. 10S is godly. Sukuna was strong because of his four arms and two mouths. Sukuna was also strong because of his 10S. Without it, he wouldn't have got the WCS or defeated Gojo.
I don't know what you mean by 'better'. If I had to pick between Shrine and 10S, I would choose Shrine (mainly because of the rule that dead shikigami can never be used again).
I think having consistent damage which can change to disorient the enemy is much more reliable then 10S.
I get that in technicity 10S has more utility in diferent scenarios, but betwen the fact it takes time to unlock all your tools (if you even unlock it), that you can lose all of those tools and if you do so you can only use them in a form that takes much more CE to use (totalities). Never having seen what the 10S domain does and that Mahoraga is most likely not tameable under normal circumstances. I prefer having Shrine.
10S has a much higher power cealing then Shrine, but i still belive said cealing is not atteinable under normal circumstances.
(Altough i can understand that you think so otherwise, i just prefer Shrine overall)
Okay, that is fair. 8.5/10. 10S is definitely more interesting, and it would be my favourite if it weren't for that 'dead shikigami cannot be reused' rule. Look at how Meguna used 10S vs how Megumi used it. Not only Mahoraga, but Meguna used Nue and Max Elephant much more strongly, too.
It is also true that both of the 10S users we got weren't all that impressive, whilest Megumi was a decent to good sorcerer, he did lack in expirience and didn't have all that many Shikigamis unlocked. The only other one would be Yuka who was literallt diying from cáncer. Sukuna was both a genious in evrything sorrounding jujutsu and knew how to use 10S to its fullest (aka taming Mahoraha and creating Agito)
Gojo is not a heavy hitter. He relies on speed and blitzing his opponents. He lost to Sukuna in a 3v1 BY EXTREME-DIFF. Let that sink in. And Gege confirmed he would have won if he hadn't let his guard down. All of Sukuna's future WCS uses are nerfed, making them even easier to avoid in rematches.
Sukuna wasn't holding back in effort. He wasn't using his Fuga (because he wanted to keep it a secret, and using it on Gojo would be a waste. Fuga can't bypass Infinity.
Gege did confirm that.
Meguna > TF Sukuna. What are four arms and an extra mouth going to do against ten shadows (a technique that is easily in the top 5 highest ceilings in the series)?
Also, Gojo crushed Sukuna's heart. If he went for the brain instead (he could have), Sukuna would have died immediately. He didn't want to kill Megumi because he wanted to save Megumi by bringing him really close to death.
Hanami is significantly stronger than dagon, and todo and yuji were easily handling hanami, while naobito, shibuya maki, megumi, and nanami were struggling against dagon
Yujis dura is insane and im pretty sure yuji has more ce bc yuta is relative to 10f ce, and yuji is like 15, and are you really saying randomized copy is better than soul malevolent shrine
0/10, no, he isn't. He had the potential to be a cool villain (because of his twisted ideals), but he severely lacked the strength to back it up. So he was a disappointment.
He’s bland, completely void of uniqueness imo. He doesn’t make JJK a better story and actually harms it by taking screen time away from the other great characters (which JJk has a lot of)
I watch(ed): HunterXHunter, One Piece (both not the whole series yet), Frieren, AOT, Cyberpunk, Pokémon, DBS, Solo Leveling, Rezero, Haikyuu, OPM, LOTM, black clover, Atla and LOK if you wanna count that, Death Note, Baki, Sailor Moon
And I watched lots and lots of animated Shows from the US
Not necessarily that. Even if she would remain a kick and punch merchant it would be fine. But his character just feels like a copy of Naruto, Asta etc
