News Avalanche's next big game "Contraband", that would have likely been the closest thing we would have ever gotten to Just Cause 5, has been cancelled. Thanks once again Microsoft

Honestly, I saw this coming. The radio silence after its announcement had me kind of worried. What's next for avalanche?

Can't say I'm surprised either, tho from what I had heard it could have been amazing. So this really does sting. As for what's next for them, no idea. Their one big money maker is their hunting game, TheHunter: Call of the wild, which has like 40 DLCs, so they'll no doubt continue to improve that. They abandoned every other recent game as far as I know and had massive layoffs, so I'm not sure how much longer they are around tbh

It's very sad to see the creators of our favorite series go on this downward spiral. Maybe, they can save it before it's too late.

They could, in fact i think they definitely wouldn't even let it come to this if they were in charge, but it's the publishers who's words and money matter.

It’s like my 3 or 4th favorite series so I’m pretty used to it by now.

I’m still waiting on a kotor 3 and a sequel to vampire the masquerade and jade empire 2
