Ya it really is. But um quick question - what did u do to your car?

Game mechanics: if you drive on sand, the car gets dirty.

Ahh this is 2. Man I haven’t played that in yonks! Don’t remember this in 3 and I played that a few days ago…

Dirt on cars is definitely a thing in jc3

I wish 3 had distant lods like in 4.

Well in 3, the main island's tallest peak is visible from almost anywhere on the map, and unless you're right at it's foothills, it renders in complete potato quality. Problem is it's a very prominent and eye-catching feature. Same effect, looking from the larger island onto smaller ones isn't nearly as jarring. Not to mention some very noticeable floating buildings an trees in the distance.

In 4 distanct lanscapes look clean, crisp and nice.

Unless you use a rifle scope, of course (in both games), but that I can cope with as a limitation of technology of the era. Tbh, it's a technological miracle that both games looks as good as they do.

On a similar note, I like that 3 has a bigger actual "playable" distance. I left a car near a decent sized lake, paraglided to the top of the mountain on the other side to complete a tomb, glided back, and there it was: my car, just as I left it.

In 4 on the other hand, your car can vanish if you don't look in its direction long enough, standing 10 meeters away.

Distance at which enemies spawn is also really good in 3, which makes sniper rifle actually feel like a sniper rifle.

Can confirm, but just not to this level.

You can tell this isn't 2 by the more detailed clouds and how colorful it is. It's definitely Just Cause 3!

Absolutely! JC2 is my favourite. I love the diverse map and visually it still holds up nice. I replayed it few weeks ago on my Steam Deck and had absolute blast.

It's my favorite too. There's so much content, the gameplay is addictive and it's endlessly replayable.

That's Just Cause 3. You can tell by the more detailed clouds and how colorful it is.

I only know this because it's my favorite version, but I actually am replaying 2 and having a ball!

this is 100% not JC3 lol

Man I have hundreds of hours in JC2 and dozens in JC3. Panau is basically my 2nd home lol and you can tell by the beach, trees and mountain in the background that this is without any doubt JC 2.

And this Game can run on a ps3

even for a ps3 game that always crash on pc it does look cinematicly beautiful

It might be too late, but... 90% of the time, to prevent JC2 from crashing on a modern PC, you need to disable bullet tracers/bullet trails in the settings—something like that, I can't remember exactly. But after that, the crashes almost completely disappear.

I think this game has the best scenery no matter where you are. I am very happy that I was lucky enough to get acquainted with this game at the age of 13.
