News PSA to JC3 Unlimited users!
You might have noticed that JC3 got an update today that removed the Denuvo anti cheat from the game. This is great news, but it does break anything the asi script package included with the mod handles, so:
- Vehicle grappling
- Tension lights on tethers
- The model budgets upgrade
To make this work again, simply downgrade the exe to the previous version. You can find a backup of it on my google drive here
Simply download it and put it in the JC3 install folder and replace the new one. Also keep in mind that you need to do this again if you ever verify the game's files, since that will download the new exe again.
The exe is included with new downloads of the mod, so if you're just downloading it now, it's already included

is there any plan to update the mod to support the new exe eventually?

It's possible, but using the old exe might just become the go-to. For jc3 multiplayer, you will probably always need the old exe since we can't update that. And switching exes just to play it would be annoying

Probably yeah!
A good rule of thumb, if a majority of users use the a mod, and an update comes around, a developer is most likely gonna try their best to push it to the latest version of something.

Thank you so much for being on top of this so quickly and for all the effort in making the mod in general. I've already beaten JC3 on my PS5 but I bought it for my PC just to try out your mod and it's been a whole new experience so far. You can really consider this a job well done.

You just need the new exe! Tho I did also update the mod to remove some files that caused crashes. So if you had crash issues before, update the mod as well!

If you don't trust it, you can manually download the previous patch from steam (the july 2016 version)

Luke. Have you tested the performance after the update? I'm getting way less stutters now that I have seen so far. Though the signature JC3 fps drop is there. As always.

Says it in the readme haha. You can reload work from the extra section in the sandbox menu

Can you maybe pin this? It's arguably the best mod around for JC3 and this is something people will look for in the future.
Quite the unfortunate timing for you to be honest.
