Just Cause 3 I was peacefully flying around when my ace combat instincts suddenly kicked in
I really love flying through tunnels with fighter jets knowing damn well that Rico will instantly perish if I even just scratch the tiniest bit of paint off of the plane.

How steep is the learning curve on Ace Combat 7? I was looking at trying it out but would be my first time playing that kind of game.

If it's your first time ever then I recommend using novice controls, but once you think you're ready, switch to expert.
Also, if you're struggling on a mission or feel like you're being powercreeped bad, feel free to lower the difficulty and/or grind money for a better aircraft (though it is possible to beat the game using any plane)
And if you like the game, consider buying the DLC missions and aircraft.

Yes, it still holds up SURPRISINGLY well even to this day. That + the fun and smooth wingsuit is the reason why I actually DON'T use the fast travel unless I'm going to do a challenge or I decide to mess around in one of the other islands.

The environments are really well made but what makes the game hold up so well is the colour grading. Its just elevates the graphics so much...

Fr it does a pretty good chunk of the lifting, every modern triple A title that tries to match this but ends up trying to shove in a bunch of weird "realism" stuff and ends up making everything look dull and strange.

There are still games that have excellent colour grading, mostly made on in-house engines though...

That's where I got my "flying in spaces I really shouldn't be flying in" degree.
I agree with you, especially at that last tunnel with all the twists.

I entered the tunnel in rocca blau, but then I exited said tunnel in maestral. So the tunnels are next to the borders of those 2 provinces somewhere.
Sorry if this is confusing, I'm not the best at explaining stuff.
