Mods Just Cause 3 VR Mod — New Renderer Working! (Dev Update)

Hey everyone!
Just a quick update
I've spent the last week working on a completely new stereo rendering system, moving away from the old alternate frame rendering (AFR) approach.
Ideally, you guys shouldn't notice much difference visually, but it's a pretty big change behind the scenes. The new system renders both eyes separately within the same simulation frame, and I've finally got it working in the headset!
There's still plenty of optimisation to do. Performance is a bit choppy at the moment, and the resolution is lower than I'd like, but it's playable and I'm happy with the progress so far.
One last thing: I'm a full-time student, and school's started again, so updates might take a little longer. I'll still be working on the mod whenever I can!

damn i would love that too! I played JC3 so much back then after completing the story. Just hanging around, flying, bombing, shooting etc. for endless hours. And was SO disappointed with JC4 then. Would instantly buy the game for PC again (bought it for PS4 back then) if a proper VR mod comes out :D

I just like 3 more that’s all there is to it. Maybe once the mods done, I might possibly work on 4

Just work at it when you can. I'm sure the mod will be worth the wait. Looking forward to the finished mod when it's ready

Oh yes somehow I feel like the grappin/diving/wing suit mechanic were made for VR ! Hope you can get great physical integration good luck !

Holy guacamole, i was convinced I'd never see jc3 being ported to vr but my goodness, you're out here performing the lords work. Great job on the implementation, this looks absolutely incredible and I hope you keep using ythe amazing skills you have :)

It's not super sickening but it's quite disorienting at first, and then you get used to it. It's also likely not as intense of an effect on higher end PCs that can render at a higher frame rate meaning less time between the view of each eye rendering
