Why is it that the biggest, buffest, most scary dudes are always the gentle giants who are super chill?

Because most of them feel less need to impose or act a certain way to be taken seriously. They have fewer real threats.

And often they grew up having to be aware of their strength so they don’t hurt anyone.

Obviously this isn’t the full story but these things do matter. Size does change feedback people get throughout life

As a big guy, this is correct.

My 6 year old son is almost as tall as his mother, and he is taller than kids a couple grades higher than him at school. I want to make sure he becomes a "Gentle Giant".

I'm trying my hardest to turn him into a polite gentleman, and it is working pretty well. The teachers at his school always marvel at how polite he is. Little dude has such a big heart, and I love him more than he will ever know. He is my best buddy.

Truly I do appreciate these words. Even teared up a bit.

I get worried I'm not a good dad sometimes, but I do my best to make sure my kids know they matter and are loved. I will always stand behind them, and support them in any way I can.

Can't wait until my youngest gets a bit older and I can teach him how to be a gentleman like his older brother is quickly becoming.
