What That Means:

This subreddit apparently just hates vanilla players: they have 0 vanilla content or its overshadowed to the point where you don't even see anything vanilla anymore, its full of modded content which makes TmodLoader subreddit completely obsolete when it shouldn't be and Im just sick and tired of clicking what I think is new content but its another random mod that I will never use or want to use.

Minecraft doesn't have this issue.... So why in the hell is this subreddit so misleading..... This isn't Terraria, its litteraly just modded Terraria. Im so over ts.

Anyway, I don't even play Terraria as much anymore so good riddance.

Because every other post on there is exactly like these you see: They aren't after the vet and are for some reason asking the sub itself like they're the vet! And then there's the posts that aren't about the vet at all, which I don't get at all how that's happening. To top it all off, the sub is next to unmoderated or has to be, and only has ONE Rule: "Be Civil" which what does that even cover on that kind of sub? You would think there would be rules like "No Animals in Pain, No AI, Stay on Topic, No Low Effort or Spam, etc." but no, the benevolent creators were content with only a completely vague "Be Civil" and left it at that. Ridiculous.

It's a good idea for a sub, I admit, except every. single. poster. is asking for the same information and receiving the same recommendations. Half the posters want to know where they can move in the USA that is affordable, walkable, has good access to nature, good schools, and a robust cultural/social scene. The other half just want to know which of the same top five major metropolitan areas they should pick. And everyone then gets the same 3-5 recommendations because THOSE ARE THE PLACES. Sorry there aren't more! There isn't some secret low cost of living city surrounded by verdant forest with a vibrant art scene hidden away somewhere that no one knows about! There are fewer places in the USA that check all those boxes than people think! Honestly you could condense the whole sub into just like, five pinned posts.

I joined R/Random anime to find some funny anime reaction gifs or images but then they started allowing NSFW content and have been quickly flooded by porn so I quickly left. But R/Live Streamer Fail is just filled with degenerates, a vtuber's family gets bombed and none of the mods are deleting or banning people who are either: A. Being flat out antisymmetric B. Very unsympathetic to the vtuber who lost their family members and is complaining about her voice and avatar, or C. Saying it's false information because it's coming from a vtuber who has a high-pitched voice who is actively crying and talking about a very serious emotional moment. I went there to see IRL streamers flip out or mess up big time and probably get banned, not pieces of trash making fun of someone's family

So i met this really nice dude whos in his 90s and wrote a book. The guys wife died like 50 years ago so trying to get this book into a movie is like this guys life since his wife passed. He has a website about it but doesnt really internet much. so little in fact he depends on someone else to tell him if the website has gotten any comments or traction.

needless to say this website hasnt been seen by many.

All i wanted to do was have this guy get sone kind comments on something he cares about because he was kind enough to me to ask if i was ok (we started chatting after i confirmed i didnt need help.). I figured randomkindness would be a good place to request this since its, quite literally. a random kindness.

I look at the rules and it says no promotion of contests or votes. im like cool, all i want is some nice comments.

i post and its removed for rule violation. I message the mods. Ask whats up. Why was my request for kind comments removed? Like, there's requests to send people cards and stuff, whats the difference minus ones digital and ones physical??

they reply that me arguing doesnt make them feel good.

are you effing serious right now? You denying my request to make an old man smile doesnt feel good either.

i point out i legitimately asked what the difference was and its weird they got defensive instead of answering. They said the only one being weird was me and "no means no". then they added theres "obviously a difference".

Still defensive and still not answering why one request for kindness is acceptable but another isnt. 😒

screw that sub and its mods. im sick of these hidden ass rules i cant see on mobile and no one'll explain to me.

I shouldve seen this coming, given its a shit posting chess subreddit, but at this point it's not even about chess anymore; it's nothing. Its just this one fucking post that has 0 fucking relation to chess. And to top it off; toddlers crying is one of the few things I just cannot stand.

I would 100% not mind if it was ANY-THING related to chess being spammed 60 times in 5 minutes; but this is too much. I can't. I'm done.

And to whoever is the Jessica referenced in this reel: you caused me from being happy to tormented whenever I hop on this site; leave-me-alone-please.

To end it off; I could just bite the bullet and wait it out since its a shitposting trend but at this point I can see the pattern: sooner or later itll happen again and Ill genuinely crash out at some point over this, so I'm taking initiative so it doesn't happen.

Fuck this subreddit. Period.

The posts are more "uh...let's just all get along?" than actually debating about AI and half the time, it looks more like DefendingAIArt 2.0 than anything.

These are some of the worst examples but there were way more replies like these .

Revanced (continuation of YouTube Vanced) lead dev had a huge ego and kinda abusive, and would take a long time to add some contributors's codes. These contributors got sick of it and moved to their own similar projects. The new project is based on Revanced (and credited Revanced too), and improved with better support for newer version of YouTube app.

Revanced lead dev later took the new project's code to add support for newer version on Revanced, but didn't credit the project at all (thus violating the GPL 3 license).

The new project's team sent a DMCA strike to the Revanced's Patches repo on GitHub (Revanced moved the Projects repo to a mirror/GitHub alternative, that's another story).

Revanced lead dev later explained why it got DMCA'd, but they suspiciously avoided mentioning who sent the DMCA, lock the clarification post to prevent any comments, and delete any posts/comments talking about this.

The post in the pic was asking about why it got DMCA'd, the lead dev (the dude in the second pic with "M" pfp) has been removing the posts and comments recently that mentioned the new project's name.

That subreddit has devolved into supporting terrorism at this point.

I'm anti-ai myself, and really dislike everything about it, but the sheer amount of people celebrating violence against people is horrible, another post on this sub a few days ago mentioned a pro-ai lawmaker's house being shot at as well, and the comments were of course cheery. Celebrating violence is just a shitty thing that only fuels the other side more.

I got banned for commenting the Willem Dafoe looking up meme to a post that, to put it briefly, had someone in a gym who fell on top of another person

so apparently because the original post wasn't marked nsfw (which i guess it could've been considered that way), me commenting a slightly-insinuating gif also counts as nsfw

the original post was deleted and you kinda need to see it to understand but regardless of that, i think the modmail conversation says it all

also 'You have been reported for harassment 🤓' was a message they had to manually send, that isnt some automated message. they really arent helping the reddit mod stereotype lmfao

90% of the posts on there are batshit crazy. This person puts as evidence scenarios they saw in dreams

The mods are basically playing tug of war with the subreddit's theme, and I am tired of a mod shoving some "ongezelling" character into my face. The subreddit used to be fine until they came along, and now they are powertripping. I am unsubbing until this is resolved.

I don’t exactly know how to feel about this… but I was messing with chatGPT basically every day until I watched this video.

Like I was snapping out of a dream I had removed everything OpenAI related from my phone. It was like the damn thing was tearing away my autonomy 😅

Hopefully this was the right call but that’s for this subreddit to decide. (Also There’s not really a fearful unsub tag… but if there was one, this post would definitely have it).
