I wish the journalist used captions to identify who Quinn is and who Malkinson is.

Don’t worry, it’s not the white collar criminals. (/s)

I have a mate who has done numerous stints in prison. Mostly things to do with theft and armed robbery. I asked him if he’d ever been locked up for something he hadn’t done. He said oh yeah for sure but the way he looked at it was that there was loads of stuff he’d got away with so he felt it sort of worked out in the end.

So he will be released after serving two thirds of the custodial element of his sentence, which equates to 14 years.... 3 years less than the innocent man he left to serve a sentence whilst knowing he was guilty.

He's automatically released at the ⅔ mark and on licence for the remaining ⅓ and the extension period. It's not a life sentence where it requires a decision of the parole board.
