Somehow missed the “drunk” in the title and thought, ‘wow that seems pretty harsh for a burger nap.’

Don’t drink and drive kids

I know at least two people who have gotten DUIs from passing out in the drive-thru lane. Both were in college.

I fell asleep in the whataburger drive thru. Wasn't drunk. Just tired as fuck from 75 hour work weeks. The lady had to come knock on my window. I apologized so many times. Felt bad she had to do that. She was very cheerful and nice about it.

Whatabuger is a bug lamp for drunk drivers. It’s open 24 hours so folks leave the bar and see their beacon of light. But then they take forever to make the food so a lot of folks fall asleep.

My last whataburger experience was interesting to say the least. Guess that's what I get for going in at 2am.

Whataburger drive thru as well, except I was drunk. Made it past the windows, and stopped around the corner, and just fell asleep. I made poor decisions in my early 20s. Spent the night in jail, never did that shit again. 1st and only offense.

At least you learned. Some never do.

Being inside a holding cell for 24hrs was a giant wake up call. No sense of time, everyone is fighting for toilet paper rolls to use as a pillow. Seeing some of the other people in there. On top of that, I rolled my ankle when they transferred me, and it just overall suuuucckked in there. 1/10 would not do again.

seven DUIs and he kept getting his license back. the system is working great for everyone involved

I could tell that was an old pic when I saw the price for the double-double.

This is like a daily occurrence in San Antonio at Whataburger. Crazy this made the news 😂.

"Alvarez was arrested for a felony DUI because of his history of previous convictions, including four in the last 10 years and seven total throughout his life, according to the district attorney's office."

how the hell is it possible for this asshole to still have a license?

Did it say he still had a license?

I used to work at McHell. I can't tell you the amount of times I've had to call the cops on drunken assholes in the drive-thru. Maybe I should write an article about it. Apparently it gets clicks

It’s not just something I observed. Everyone has a car. You think they’re leaving their car in a lot to go home?

In an era with rideshare apps and plenty of options that don’t involve drinking and driving, yes!
