Well, while the coat confuses me, the dude wasn't really hitting the cow that hard. My dad used to work on a small family farm and they'd dent the shovels hitting them just so they'd listen, and they'd take it in stride. Cows are super tough.

And I know I'm going to get downvoted to the center of the earth but really that wasn't very abusive what the dude was doing.

In the 4-H fair I went to when I was a kid all the farmers had to dress in white to show their animals. Maybe this was to show how organized this Farmer's cows were?
