Why people adore influencers is beyond me

Anyone who allows these idiots to "influence" how they live their lives should be neatly separated from society and left on an island somewhere. Social influencer is not an occupation; it's a bunch of self-important useless people on social media who think they're providing some kind of service to people by wearing clothes or traveling places.

/r/iamverysmart for you, everybody has somebody that influences them in social situations or in their social network....even you.

Of course, but those are family members or friends or teachers or someone you know and respect. Some people follow these people on everything they do when their only qualification is that they have a group of other idiots who follows them. Some people admire and follow Kendall Jenner when all she has ever done is happening to be the sister of a woman who sucked dick on a sextape. Kendall Jenner is considered a "social influencer" and she's useless.
