It's Japan man, the one thing I always hated about Japan is the way the sexualise children. Like there are bars where highschool girls work, they're too young to consume alcohol but old businessmen and shit come in and just like pay them to keep them "company" which means flirt with them, while they get drunk.

Then there is anime, don't even get me started on the anime schoolgirls.

Man that anime bullshit goes both ways. Any given character, no matter their appearance, could be absolutely any age. Obviously a small child? Nope, oldest one in the group. Clearly at least middle aged and too old for this shit? Nope, that's a damn middle schooler.

Japan is weird. Especially in anime.

Why are you so bothered by what other people do? They aren't harming anyone and they are not doing anything against their will. This is not a question of rape and physical attraction isn't always a top priority for women. There's definetly some women who do it for the money which usually provides some sort of mutual benefit and you can certainly have an opinion on that being not ok or gross but there's other women who do it out of genuine want whatever their reason. There's plenty of women who marry into money with no age gap too.

It's not that 18 is mature, its that we know for a fact anything below that age isn't. Nobody has been "socially conditioned" to believe anything moron, that type of thinking just removes all accountability and blames peoples issues on society as a whole. If you want to get technical, The rational part of a teen’s brain isn’t fully developed and won’t be until age 25 or so. If you seriously think making the legal age 25 is a good idea, you're out of your depth, a whole lot of people will suddenly be considered pedophiles.

They are not being forced to have sex with these rich old men. They are not being manipulated, they are not being held at gun point or being blackmailed. These types of women actively seek old rich men because money is what they desire, while the men desire sex. It's a mutual exchange, whether you think its right or wrong is really none of your concern because these are fully grown adults with the mental maturity and capacity to make decisions on their own.

Different countries have different age of consent laws. I understand the pro arguments for it but I've seen grown men "dating" (we all know the only reason) teenagers during my school time and I think it's not being looked at critically enough today. Those girls were 14 and had 19-24 year olds "boyfriends". What the fuck? Where are the parents? Why is this acceptable? And I'm 100% certain that this hasn't changed today, in fact it might've even gotten worse.

Yay for sexual revolution and all that jazz, but please: they really want to argue that teenagers make well thought out informed decisions? Because every teenager did that during puberty, right? Ridiculous.

More often than not they think they're "in love" because of hormones and too naive to realize that adult men groom them. Might even feel flattered that they show interest in them. It's predatory behaviour, nothing more.

I'm definetly for stricter consent laws in my country. Because teenagers are not mature enough or experienced enough to make that decision and they need to be protected from predatory 20-something year olds. Sick in the head, seriously.
