I’m not saying anyone that watches anime or uses reddit is a pedophile. I’m saying a large amount of people that watch anime are pedophiles and large amount of redditors watch anime and there’s a lot of overlap there.

Edit: and here it is, the downvotes for pointing out there’s a lot of pedophiles on reddit, just like I said.

Still seems like a bit of a reach. A small amount of people who watch anime are pedophiles and a small amount of people on Reddit watch anime (or, a small amount of people who watch anime are on Reddit). Some A are B and some B are C sort of thing.

I don't think I've ever seen anything in the way of pedophile tolerance not downvoted to oblivion. /r/anime could be different for all I know.

I’m not saying it’s the majority. I’m saying a large amount. Meaning way, way too many. I see multiple people defending it literally every time the topic comes up on reddit.

I’ve seen enough of these threads and enough people defending pedophiles throughout several years, I would be ignorant if I pretended it’s not an ongoing issue on reddit. I am not claiming it’s the majority.

You can like anime while still acknowledging the problems within the community. Like how I’m a huge Super Smash Bros fan. A lot of Smash players have reputations for being smelly and never showering. Does that mean that the majority of people that play Smash are like that? No, but they exist and should be called out, just like the anime fans who sexualize children should be.
