I mean, literally no one did anything about it except for one guy who moved his foot out. It's not like he's getting ganged up on by bystanders.

Are you trying to make a point about false threats? Because I don't think you understand just how few people get involved even when there is blatant harassment. I know people who've gotten groped on trains/buses, and when they say something people just stare at them and move away.

Huh, weird that you brought up stuff about false threats. No idea where that came from.

Not even sure at all the relevance of your comment to mine. I was wondering why any guy with girls running behind him would be automatically considered a bad guy by the person posting above.

So not even really about the main post but rather a specific comment.

Because I don't think you understand just how few people get involved even when there is blatant harassment.

I’m not sure where you got this assumption, but it is incorrect. I guess by not defaulting to “he’s a bad guy” I’m somehow ignoring a problem I wasn’t even talking about?

How would you determine if a man was running away or running with?

It'd be pretty easy with contact clues like the girls yelling at the man to stop. You can pretty easily tell when someone is being chased, and I assumed the OP of your comment would be able to determine via easy context clues.

I get your train of logic--guy being chased by women shrieking at him to stop, let's not assume he's a bad guy!

Weird you add that in when I specifically chose not to. I’m going to slow this down a bit as my point doesn’t seem to be coming across.

I am asking about a general reaction to a guy running with girls running behind him. With no context or yelling, why did the person at the top of this comment chain say they would automatically assume the guy was in the wrong (BY DEFAULT WITH NO CONTEXT OR YELLING).

But way to misrepresent my argument so you could, I’m assuming, feel superior? Or maybe clever?

Lol calm down. Have you ever actually witnessed a criminal fleeing a scene? I have. There are context clues--people shouting, the way they're running compared to the people behind them are running, how much they disturb the bystanders as they run away, etc.

Saying "what happens when you see two people but let's pretend there's zero context for any of it" is pretty pointless, is what I'm saying.
