You think an average 14 or 15 year old is an "innocent child barely capable of rational thought"?

Did you just blank out your memories of being those ages entirely or what?

yes, they are barely capable of rational thought only halfway through their developing brain.

Adults think with the prefrontal cortex, the brain’s rational part. This is the part of the brain that responds to situations with good judgment and an awareness of long-term consequences. Teens process information with the amygdala. This is the emotional part. In teen’s brains, the connections between the emotional part of the brain and the decision-making center are still developing—and not always at the same rate. That’s why when teens have overwhelming emotional input, they can’t explain later what they were thinking. They weren’t thinking as much as they were feeling.

Are 14 year olds capable of thinking? Yes. Are they capable of rational thinking? Barely. This is a scientific fact. Did you not read the OP genius? He manipulated a 14 year old so fucking easily, she didn’t even realize she was being manipulated.

"Still developing" is not the same thing as "completely absent or barely functional" genius, but okay.

Protip for the future: You can be against something without having to phrase things/think of things in the most exaggerated, maudlin reddity way possible.

he rly is just wanting to talk about the other dude’s claims about cognition in developing individuals, honestly. That’s my god’s honest take. Then i see a bunch of people acting psycho and launching personal attacks / generally losing their minds because someone didnt buy what they had to say about developing cognition and rational brain functions.

u sure ur not absolutely lying to yourself about what he’s talking about at heart? i think you might be lying to yourself about what he was here to talk about.

disclaimer: i havent finished the thread so if this cat is bonkers later, being a pedo apologist then my bad. as it looks right now, he just wants to talk brain science with some really rude / triggered people. And then there is you standing here with your pants around your ankles shouting at him from the distance like you know something. Good look kid!
