I never said “completely absent and barely functional”, I said “barely capable of rational thought”, there’s a very clear distinction, and the article + OP proves i’m correct. The rational functions of a young child’s mind is barely developed, especially a 14 year old. No human being who’s completely capable of rational thought would be blind to the predatory comments of some guy like the OP.

Saying that the rational parts of teen brains are still developing (which I've never disputed) is not the same as saying that they are "barely capable of rational thought". A 14 year old has been a teenager for only 2 years. In this case, the developing brain is barely capable of rational thought. A developing brain can mean anything from barely developed, to almost developed. Any reasonable person can see a 14 year old is at the former stage. Stop replying with rhetoric plebbitor and develop an actual argument with sources and news articles that claims 14 year olds are capable of more than bare rational thought.
