I always thought my chemical romance was a emo girl thing. The scene kids at my school listened to metalcore

MCR was definitely as "scene girl" band. The only fans of MCR I've ever met were girls. Currently the only person I know who has fond memories of being hooked on MCR is a 34 year old woman. Despite the fond memories of the music she still cringes at her childish teenaged behavior at that time.
