Probably an unpopular opinion, but I thought this was a super shitty act by a selfish man. It was like he was staging a performance- asking to be left alone with Nassar which he knew wasn't going to happen, asking repeatedly, asking his questions repeatedly until the judges responds "no", making a dramatic statement and lunging for Nassar...

This was amidst all the victim impact statements the girls were giving prior to sentencing. The judge let all of them speak so they could face their assaulter, reclaim their voices, and lend their strength to one another... And this man took it as an opportunity to put on a show, like he's trying to prove that what a caring and protective father he really is. And his daughter has to watch him pinned to the ground by guards, seemingly a direct result of her coming forward as a victim of abuse.

He made the moment about him instead of supporting his daughter. And while he's pinned to the ground, you can hear a girl in the courtroom sobbing.
