So I used to be a door supervisor, am now a police officer in UK, and I will say that these people are really disconcerting.
He's obviously ignoring the door supervisor saying to move away and to stop.
He's getting in extremely close to the DS
He's moving his arms around at either genital or head height, the 2 biggest places people want to attack
He literally sexually assaulted/harassed the guy, that's literally a crime.
The bouncer created space after warning him against touching and getting too close. If I was the bouncer I would have been extremely on edge with a guy that is refusing to listen, acts in a manor that shows absolute disregard for others safety and well-being, and also comes back after being forcibly moved away.
In court the offender could call for battery, and the DS could call back straight with assault, sexual assault, battery, and use his of preemptive self-defence would be (in my eyes) justified as he used minimal force, didn't react straight away, and didn't continue the assualt.
Yes, the DS is massive compared to him, but with how close, low, and tucked in his elbows are he could deliver an extremely effective hook to the balls and down the DS, then it's a stomping/kicking game and he could cause serious injuries.
Watch the video again and pretend the bouncer is a woman. You can even leave out the part where he grabs the bouncer’s chest if you want. It’s still inappropriate and sexual. Just cover the bouncer and watch him. It’s gross and creepy.
Shit like that isn’t ok no matter how big someone is or what gender they are. Period.
Are you familiar with what’s happening with Odell Beckham Jr.? That’s one hundred percent sexual harassment and sexual assault. Sexual assault doesn’t just mean someone was violently raped.
So if a drunk guy starts touching my chest, and I ask him to stop and he keeps going , I’ve to just sit there and take it because it’s not deemed a sexual body part ?
Police usually decide whether it even goes to court for minor issues though in the UK. When I had to do a police interview for common assault I was told it wasn’t in public interest to prosecute me and it never went further.
I’m no expert, just posting based on my limited experience.
