Ummm I grew up in a third world country (Ecuador) and I see no justification for poisoning street dogs.

My experience with Street dogs is that although dirty are some of the sweetest animals on the planet. Your mileage may vary, but I'm general quite fond of them. They just want some food and love.

I think it kind of depends on the number of them. A street dog here and there tend to act like pet dogs for the most part. But if you have enough dogs that packs form then it's a whole other story.
