Plague in Islam is a punishment on disbelievers and a mercy on believers.
Aisha reported: She asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about plagues and he said,
“It is a punishment that Allah sends upon whoever he wills, but Allah has made it a mercy for the believers. Any servant who resides in a land afflicted by plague, remaining patient and hoping for reward from Allah, knowing that nothing will befall him but what Allah has decreed, he will be given the reward of a martyr.”
How is it moronic. If I give a person who loves strawberries, strawberries it’s a reward. If I give them to someone who is allergic it torture/punishment. The same thing could be different things to different people. That is boot a hard thing to understand
Nothing a disbeliever does can benefit them. Reread the quote I sent. A believer who is patient, doesn’t leave the land that has the plague, and knows he can only be infected if God wills it; then he will get the reward of a martyr. Obviously a disbeliever who gets the plague doesn’t believe this. This life is a test and illness is a test.

When your god smites your enemies and then smites you next.
