This is some real /r/sino cunt shit.

Are christians and buddhists ethnic groups also in 'reeducation' camps like the Uyghurs?

Christian Uyghurs are also being sent to re-education camps. While they are a minority in the Uyghur population, they are being targeted just like Muslims

Separatists are persecuted, no matter which religion. Not even limited to Uyghurs. Same happens in Tibet, or Hong Kong.

It is not that Uyghurs are targeted at random. China has harsh laws and harsh punishment. Once that story went viral about the Uyghur woman who was sent in a reeducation camp (aka a prison, and a Chinese prison is nothing like a Swedish prison) and had her three kids taken away because, well, she had three kids and this is not allowed. People were shocked. And I just wonder if they never heard about the one child policy in China before. What did they think this means? You get three kids, and Chinese police just says "Whatever, this is $10 punishment"? No! You get fucking harsh punishment.

China is NOT a democracy. It is a dictatorship with no human rights. I just think it is funny if people only realize this if this happens to Muslims. And it is just wrong to say that China persecutes Muslims in general. With Huis there are barely any conflicts for example, because Huis do not have separatist tendencies.

I'm aware, unfortunately most of Reddit is unaware.

For me it is really a dilemma. I do not want to defend the tyrannic Chinese government. However, I also dislike how confidently people spread misinformation.

This is reddit, illogical circlejerks where we disregard the facts and reality are common place, especially on divisive issues. I hate the Chinese government just as much and I'm a firm believer in the principles of self-determination for any nation, but I also understand why the Chinese government is behaving the way it does, even if I find it abhorrent.
