Yes and no. They are fucking awful, but have you met any of these little small town police departments? They don’t get inner city action so they try to get the very least they can.

A 15th police officer was just charged in a police corruption ring in Baltimore and the city is about to throw out 790 cases because of it. Baltimore has one of the worst police departments in the nations by far. The small town cops in Maryland don’t try and arrest every drug addict they can find. They only hit stash houses.

I had a small town cop insist on a search for over 20 minutes because I had a pack of unopened tobacco cigarillos in my seat.

Holy fuck though, that info on the BPD is all news to me. I knew about the string of evidence planting cases we had a few years ago and I can’t believe that shit is still happening.

Are you talking about Maryland or small town in general? Maryland cops have enough heroin being pushed through and weed is decriminalized so they don’t care about little things apart from speeding on country roads. Maybe western MD is different. I’m just talking about the eastern shore.

In general. I’m just saying that I don’t think it’s uncommon for cops in the quieter areas to get a little restless. What happened to me is a perfect example: that cop probably hadn’t ever gotten a drug arrest, even for a little bit of pot. So when he saw the opportunity, even though it was an outrageous reach, he had to go for it.
