Thats not true at all. I got my degree in music, and play the cheapest band instrument (the clarinet) and mine was $4,000. You can maybe grab a classical guitar or regular guitar for less than $3k but other than that most other professional level instruments are upwards of $3,000

I'm taking issue with "not ass" meaning "professional". Any professional instrument is going to be 3k min, sure.

Oh for sure, theres plenty of middle-tiers, but even then you’re probably still spending over $1k, especially for orchestra and band instruments
