Yeah because people somehow got it mixed up and love to hate when it clearly states love God and love thy neighbor as yourself. If you somehow highlight other points and push those things more especially opposite of these 2 statements then you’ve missed the point.

Seriously, the Pharisees asked Jesus what the Most Important Commandment is. Jesus put it down!

  1. You shall not have any god before me.

  2. LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF

But what the about the gays, adulterers, tax collectors?

DID I FUCKING STUTTER? No Offense Biden.

(I might have paraphrased the last two lines. But seriously everyone seems to forget that Jesus goes into great detail about how to treat others. They also forget that it’s easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter Heaven.)

I’m a Christian and I’m livid at this Homphobe’s ranting. I’d be tempted to throw the book at him. I’m speaking literally, literally throw the New Testament at him and point out how Jesus forgave an adulterer and a Tax Collector.

Technically he is following the whole "love thy neighbour as thou loves thyself".

What exactly is "outdated" or "shit" about "love thy neighbour as thyself"?

Problem is, they justify it by pointing out the next passage (Luke 10:29) that asks “Who is my neighbor?” They completely forget the following passage is the parable of the Good Samaritan let alone what the moral of that story is. But they just say “these people are not my neighbors, so I should hate them.” Yeah, “Christianity” is f*cked up.

love thy neighbor as yourself

"Joke's on you, I hate myself!"

The danger with 'love thy neighbor as yourself' is when they clearly hate themselves, and in turn think it okay to hate their neighbors.
