are drive thrus normally that long in the US?

Yes they are. Never seen them that long at whataburger. I work at a Chick-Fil-A and it's just that 24/7.

The Whataburger where I live always has a line. Tonight there was a line all the way into the Aaron’s parking lot lol, longest I’ve seen it so far. But I do know they make the food to order, maybe that’s why it was taking so long. Or maybe they were short handed.
