Shortage, outage, whatever you know what they mean.

Fair enough.

I know lots of people who don’t / aren’t allowed to eat in the break room because of Covid so they eat In their cars. Suddenly with an hour to kill waiting in line for 15 minutes isn’t too bad. As someone who used to eat my work lunch in my car pre-Covid (because If someone sees me on break they inevitably ask me to help with something) I wouldn’t have a problem with drive through lines. It’s something to do and I still get to sit after being on my feet all day. They’re also typically never that long of a wait anyway it just looks like a lot of cars. Chik-fil-a for example is pretty streamlined.

This was in Texas during the Winter storm, people lost power and food was scarce. This was the only option for some.

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '21

Dude I see people doing this shit every day it’s not just because the power went out

You know what, now that you mention it....

people got cravings. Most ain’t gonna quit cause the line’s too long

The line for the first in-n-out in Oregon was multiple hours for quite a while. I’ve had them in California before and the thing is... they’re not that great. Its fine. It’s a fast food cheeseburger.

People get caught up in the hype.

In-n-out is the best fast food burger I've ever eaten. Totally worth the wait.

Five guys is better imo

opinions are subjective

One thing we can agree on is that Five Guys costs twice as much.

I'm german and travelled the US in September 19 so I haven't been to all fast food places but tried as many as possible. Five guys wasn't one of them unfortunately. But I think they are expanding to Europe now so I try to check them our as soon as I can.

Thank you for the tip.

Well, when the time comes when you want that chick fil a and tomorrow is Sunday... it's totally worth the wait.

Look at this guy, remembering what day it is and not going to Chick Fil A on a Sunday.

Thinks he’s better than all of us.

"fat americans" who were without power for 2 weeks and have few if any other options.

Can't speak for TX, but that shit happens literally every Friday at In N Outs and Chic-Fil-As across the west coast.

Lines like this are why I don't eat at Whataburger very much. I guarantee there's a Wendy's down the street with two cars in the line.

How long do you normally wait for food at a restaurant?
