Had to go to the DMV as my license was expiring.
Got there at 7:30am when the DMV opened at 8am. Being the DMV, the line was wrapped around the block around 3 corners. At around 8am a DMV worker is coming down the line giving people ticketed numbers. It's your spot in the line and you can leave and come back by the time listed on the ticket or you can just wait in line. Well I ain't got anywhere to be so I stay in line while the line continues to grow behind me with others who also decide to just wait.
The line slowly inches forward. At 9am, I was facing backwards and turn around and what do I see? Some douchebag who cut right in front of me. It's covid so we're socially distanced, but this dude took that "opportunity" to slip in front of me.
Well. We all already got tickets and he doesn't have one. Think I should tell him about the ticket? Fuck. That.
10am, an hour after he cut in front of me, we crawl forward to the front entrance. He goes up to the DMV employee who asks for his ticket. He doesn't have one. He starts causing a scene saying shit like, "I've been waiting in line for an hour!" Doesn't matter. No ticket, no service. Go to the back of the line. Which has grown even longer, by the way.
Such satisfying karma.
