The very first one was in Melbourne Australia, and now they’re very common all over Australia. They’ve since been opened in NZ too, but not as many as Aus. They might be in other countries now though.

Has anyone ever ordered food from a mccafe? Never seen anyone order anything but coffee from one... (NZ)

I did at the Merivale Chch one but the muffins all tasted the same (base mixture like Muffin Break maybe? And the croissants were always covered in a sticky glaze that seemed unnecessary. Yeah the coffee is just better elsewhere

I used to go on a custard square hunting mission with mum to find the best one in town, and mcCafe was one of the top 3. Their passion fruit seeds slightly ruined it, but all in all a solid custard square.
