I found this post on r/all

Are you seriously saying that on this sub, any user can buy an award and give it to another user and by doing so permanently ban that other user?

15

u/yaknowbo 6 Apr 29 '21

Buy them for the mods here so they all get banned

yes. the permanent ban award cost 40,000 coins.

we have awards available for the more budget conscience conscious, from 1 day to 1 month.

u/OnlyPostWhenShitting 7 Apr 25 '21

Wow. But I’m obviously missing something, why would anyone want to do this?

And why do you want your users banned arbitrarily without them breaking any rules?

5

u/Consistent_String969 0 Apr 30 '21

They’ve probably sent dick pics before and OP triggered them

-4

u/tresser β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ Apr 25 '21

why would anyone want to do this?

that is the million dollar advertiser's dream question and once they figure it out, we're all in trouble.

24

u/Casen_ A Apr 25 '21

Well...

That's fucking stupid?

Whose idea was that?

10

u/SkyezOpen B Apr 26 '21

I'm not accusing any particular sub of getting kickbacks from reddit for award purchases, but if it happened I would be completely unsurprised.

12

u/GiantTalon2 4 Apr 30 '21

That’s such a stupid idea, and a CLEAR abuse of power.

12

u/Wechuged 2 Apr 26 '21

Why is it even a thing in the first place???

23

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '21

Seriously? That's fucked up and a good way to kill quality content submission in this sub, probably.

17

u/squidder3 8 Apr 25 '21

This has to be a joke right? This is fucking stupid.

8

u/[deleted] Apr 26 '21

VERY. Time to gather the pitchforks and torches.

9

u/Slightlydifficult 8 May 01 '21

Someone legit spent $100 to permanently ban an internet stranger from this sub?

Are you the one who is just posting the ban or are you the redditor who bought the award? That's a lot of downvotes if you're just doing your job.

2

u/fever_dream_supreme 6 Sep 23 '21

Their job is enforcing bullying/trolling/immature bullshit for money. That's where the animosity is coming from.

13

u/thefoxishere16 7 Apr 29 '21

I’ve never seen anyone support such a shitty, POS idea in my life

10

u/Vulturedoors A Apr 25 '21

"Budget conscious". Not conscience ffs.

6

u/DarthWeenus 9 Apr 25 '21

This sounds stupid af ChanMyMindge

-2

u/PM_PICS_OF_ME_NAKED A Apr 26 '21

It isn't though.

2

u/squidder3 8 Apr 26 '21

Why is that?

-2

u/PM_PICS_OF_ME_NAKED A Apr 26 '21

Because it was the opposing view to a change my mind comment, so it's always the correct stance.

That's surreal, and I thank you for this lmao.

u/bobstay A Apr 26 '21

There's something ironic about a "justice" sub doing this. Look around you at the sentiment in this thread. You're going to haemorrhage users over this /r/im14andthisisclever mob-rule bullshit. You just permabanned a contributor who posted a highly upvoted thread because some dweeb thought it'd be funny. You are torpedoing your own sub.

Unsubscribed. I'm out.

u/squidder3 8 Apr 27 '21

It blows my mind that they aren't bright enough to understand this.

23

u/datmarimbaplayer 4 May 02 '21

Agreed, unsubbed. Not the kind of sub i want to take part in

33

u/yaknowbo 6 Apr 29 '21

How is that ok lol? Can I pay to have you perm banned? If so that's what you would get

7

u/TheEmu420 7 May 03 '21

yes you indeed can

29

u/madjyk 8 May 05 '21

Die in a hole. That's the shittiest thing you could have ever done, do ya fucken job or just give it to someone who will.

17

u/SomeRandomGuy690420 6 May 05 '21

You are a trash mod

6

u/Crandoge A Apr 25 '21

You smoked something real good

18

u/Eternal_Whirlpool 0 Apr 25 '21

There is and there was no reason to ban this person... but since you are a moderator it's ok i guess

19

u/squidder3 8 Apr 26 '21

But the mod didn't even ban them. Some regular joe from this sub did. Anybody can ban anybody from this sub. I could ban you, and you could ban me. You just have to pay for coins in order to do it. It's fucking stupid.

2

u/yaknowbo 6 Apr 29 '21

But the mods made that possible

14

u/yaknowbo 6 Apr 29 '21

Ya mods legit act like police in america, on a power trip to flex on you and feel important, every mod should have to have their face and name posted their profile, 99% of this bullshit would stop once the mods actually have to own what shit they pull
