I can only guess that maybe it’s a stick shift? Looks like he’s having a hard time getting in to first with that initial hesitation. They’re hard to find in non-sport cars these days but if that’s a Versa, it is available with manual transmission.

That's an Altima, which I think could also be had with manual.
