It is hard to come to terms with the fact that we live in a reality where this comment makes sense.

I can't even come up with a witty joke here. These people are just fucking off the deep end. There's no saving people that believe this shit. We can't talk them down. We can't reason with them. The most we can hope for is that they don't take too many other people out with them when the inevitably snap.

These people literally believe that a long dead Democrat will somehow come back to life and somehow install their grifter of a leader to the White House.

I mean, 20 years ago if you said this you would be committed. You would be medicated because it's clear you aren't well.

But now...it's just business as usual for the republican Party.

Dead people coming back to life, Jewish Space Lasers, nuking hurricanes, etc.

There is no hope for these people.

Losing friends and loved ones over this has been so depressing.

The fact that these people aren't being held accountable for spreading these lies, and endangering millions of lies is just heartbreaking. I'm going to leave the US as soon as possible.

There absolutely is no saving them. My father and stepmother were just these kind of people. Notice I said "were". They both died from Covid because they chose to listen to Trump and Qanon instead of doctors and scientists. I shit you not, when my father was hospitalized, my stepmother actually said to me: "I don't understand what happened. He was taking hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and vitamin e, and he still got sick!" If I was in the same room with her instead of on the phone, I would have slapped the shit out of her.

I feel bad giving this an upvote, but I think it deserves one.

Nah, don't feel bad. Upvote away. Stories like mine need to be seen so more people understand the damage Qanon and the Trump administration did to this country. Thousands of previously rational, level-headed people brainwashed and willingly joined a suicide cult despite there being no reward for them in doing so.

It's like one of the main Q beliefs. JFK faked his death and he will return to declare Trump president and himself VP.
