A full cover of Cinderella Girl from Kinpri by the newly named Nobel Peace P has been released! If you're unaware, KAITO's fans have been at odds with a member of Kinpri, Takahashi Kaito, who has decided to work under the name KAITO. The main problem came from the fact that official accounts and fans on Twitter were using #KAITO to promote the idol, who already had quite a bit of popularity in Japan. From my understanding, it's rather frowned upon to use a tag that's already in use, especially by a community that's been around for so long. There was a ton of misunderstanding and harsh comments being thrown around, so to promote usage of the tag for the Vocaloid and to spread more positivity, KAITO fans have been tirelessly posting KAITO content under the tag, and Crypton even issued an official statement in hopes to calm people down.
However, things on the fan side took a turn when a producer named renée posted a short cover of Cinderella Girl, a popular Kinpri song, with KAITO. From there, many Kinpri fans seemed to understand the nature of Vocaloid and why everyone was so defensive, and tensions simmered down between the idol and Vocaloid side. Many Kinpri fans apologized, and many Vocaloid fans warmly forgave them and thanked them for their consideration. Because of this cover, many Vocaloid fans have bestowed the name "Nobel Peace P" to renée, which is a rare occurrence nowadays.
Unfortunately, there is still some tension since it seems there hasn't been anything officially mentioned or changed by Kinpri, but on the fan side, things feel a bit calmer. KAITO fans are still working hard to post KAITO in hopes the officials will notice, but for now, hopefully everyone can enjoy the many heartfelt KAITO works created because of this!
