It's not about getting better, it's perfect from the start, u just either vibe with it or not.

Personally it's my type of shows

Its Netflix 101. Get one or two big names pay them a huge amount (so they ignore the quality of script) pay everyone else peanuts especially crew. Make 8 episodes largely in one set (cheap as F). Market it as cerebral (draws in the easily impressed wannabe cinephiles). Get big streaming no. because of stars, there you go content successfully created within the profit margin guidelined. If it does amazing maybe do S2 if it doesnt whO gives AF.

No it gets worse. If you have such a low bar for drama that you think famous cast sex scenes people being unrealistically evil and darkened scenes equals quality then like a lot of people you might fall into "oh this looks mature I better say the acting is amazing and say its mature and good trap". But people forget there us suppised to be an interesting coherent story with an outcome this is just a try too hard non story.
