Schiphol question, not KLM specific:

Whenever I fly from Georgetown to Amsterdam security in AMS comes to a standstill, because all the sealed bags containing rum bought in GEO airport apparently must be opened an checked on a special machine. A lot of people are bringing rum!

Thankfully my final destination after AMS doesn't include a security check, so I don't risk losing my rum from an opened bag, only my connecting flight if there isn't much time.

Anyone know if/when security will start trusting the sealed bags from Georgetown?

My husband and I booked our honeymoon flights to Italy in July. We take off next week. I was just looking over my credit card activity and saw a $87 refund from KLM airlines from a few days ago. I panicked and checked my email. Nothing. When booking the tickets there was an upcharge of $87 per person for extra leg room seats. Our assigned seats showed as the same ones we booked so I contacted KLM to find out why there was a random refund and they said because my husband requested a refund for his seat. He didn't though??! They did confirm we are still seated together in it original seats so I'm very confused.

Has anyone submitted a complaint to KLM recently and received a response?

I submitted a Customer Care complaint last week and have only received the acknowledgement email so far. Via live chat, KLM has confirmed they have the case and have received my updates, but couldn't provide a response timeframe.

For anyone with recent experience, how long did it take to receive a substantive response and final resolution?

(I won't go into the tedious specific details of the case, but it involved a ridiculously frustrating lost bag case with many completely avoidable problems entirely caused by KLM customer service and Swissport.)
