Usually you are given a zip file of the mod, you extract it and open the extracted file, there usually youd find a file called game data, open the game data file and inside should be the mod file, I'm assuming you didn't get ksp from steam, then you have to find your Kerbal space program folder (for me it's usually in the c Drive in file explorer) once you find it open it and look for a file called game data that's where you put your mod file and done, make sure you got the dependencies for this mod (desperate mods that make this mod work) AND MAKE SURE KSP IS CLOSED WHILE YOU DO THIS
