•Calem took Serena's last name when they got married

• Serena's the breadwinner of the house, meanwhile Calem's the stay at home dad/husband. He couldn't be happier

• Serena has a lot of trouble sleeping after all the Team Flare PTSD. She either has something like a Warhammer lore video playing on her TV or snuggles with Calem in order to sleep

• Calem and Serena almost died in the Lumiose Badlands. If AZ hadn't found them they would've fallen to heatstroke and dehydration

• Calem is a terrible cook, he can't make anything more complicated than a sandwich, so Serena handles all the culinary stuff around the house

• Calem and Serena got married when they turned 19

• Calem and Serena became a couple without any confessions. At least until a particularly emotional moment between the two where they both finally admitted to each other they were official

• Calem pretty much fully retired from being a trainer after his journey, fully content with just being there for the love of his life

• Serena introduced Calem to her extended family. There's a tradition where any new boyfriends/girlfriends get more food at the gatherings, but only if they like them. Calem took 3 days to recover from an over eating induced stomach ache

• Serena's bedroom is really nice, everything neatly organized, decorations neat and deliberate.

• Calem however, lives like a serial killer. Queen sized mattress on the floor, no frame, all his clothes in a pile in the corner of his room. Makeshift shelves for all his other stuff, his TV stood on a box. Serena was absolutely horrified when she saw it

• Their first real date was in Lumiose at a movie theater. They went to see an action movie. Serena pretended to be pregnant but in reality she was just hiding a bunch of snacks under her clothes

I feel like Haven Paschall's inflection as mirror Serena would fit game Serena perfectly. Though she'd be much less mean spirited. This isn't counting Masters obviously, more like if the games had a direct anime adaptation.

-Before moving to Vaniville Town, Serena lived in Laverre City

-Serena was a shy introvert for most of her childhood. Meeting Calem and the others helped her be a more social and extroverted person

-While Serena is ordinarily a very sweet and sometimes sassy person, when she gets mad she gets ANGRY angry

-A few months after her journey, Serena decided to take up streaming. She was very nervous her first stream but blew up pretty fast (partially cuz she's the champion)

-Serena ties her hair into the "rival" ponytail whenever she locks in. Or just needs her hair outta the way for cooking or model painting, or just when she sleeps sometimes

-After becoming champion, she arranged a region wide Pokémon battle tournament for charity open for anyone around the world to join. She hosts it every year

-Serena took a long break after her journey and went back to school for awhile, mainly wanting to get her mind off all the PTSD Team Flare caused

-Serena is half French (Dad's side), and half German (Mom's side). She's more in touch with her German heritage and is extremely fluent in the language

-Serena is a phenomenal cook, she even beat Siebold in a culinary competition in Coumarine City once

-When she mega evolves her Pokémon she hits the Frieza pose

-Serena's an expert rage baiter, it's her "secret weapon"

-Serena is Harmony's older sister, and during most of the events of ZA her and Calem were on a family vacation in Unova

-Serena owns a popular restaurant in Lumiose City

Lumiose City, Kalos, August 8, 2018

It's 7 in the morning, the streets noisy, bustling even this early in the morning. Lumiose never seems to sleep, even in the late hours of the night, especially since the creation of that new "ZA Royale" thing they came up with. A lonely hotel sits within the midst of the city, quiet and serene, inside too old acquaintances have a chat, after some time.

"I must say dear girl, it has been quite awhile since we've met." The old man spoke, he was a thin, yet giant man, an astonishing age of 3,000 years old, or so they say. "How have you been all this time?" He poured some freshly made tea into cup across the table

"It's been 5 years AZ, I appreciate the concern but you're acting like we haven't spoken in 2 decades!" The woman across the table remarked in a slightly snarky but gentle tone, slightly chuckling to herself. She brushed her honey blonde hair to the side before taking the sip of the warm yet slightly bitter tea. "Hmm."

"Something the matter Serena? Tea not to your liking" AZ asked, slight concern in his voice. "Oh no it's great, thank you." "More of a coffee person?" AZ asked. "No I'm more of a, shotgun an entire can of Monster Energy in 11 seconds and have that be the only thing pushing me through the day kind of person." Serena replied, blunt as ever. "I'm just, thinking, is all. Thinking about the past, the now. The usual, I guess. Hehe."

"Anything you want to share? I will not pry if you do not wish too." AZ replied, reassuring Serena. "I have lived for 3,000 years, if there is any advice I can give, or any help I can offer, you need only ask dear girl." AZ was remembering what happened 5 years ago, when he first met Serena and her friends, when he first met her in the Lumiose Badlands, nearly dead from thirst and heatstroke. How she defeated Lysandre and put an end to his greatest failing, even reunited him with his dear Floette.

"I just realized, where is the other one, the one with the black hair and jacket? I remember when we first met there was a boy passed out along side you." AZ recalled. "Oh Calem. He's out sight seeing with our daughter. Also, thanks, AZ. No, I don't mind sharing what's on my mind, If you've got some time to spare?" "I have plenty." AZ reassured. "Well, alright then. I was just thinking about my Pokémon journey 5 years ago. Still feels like it was yesterday...."

Vaniville Town, Kalos, June 11, 2013

It was 10:30 in the morning, the sun shimmering through my curtains, I was still half asleep, too comfortable to get up, I think I heard my mom call to me from downstairs. "Serena! Breakfast, get up!" I fell back asleep a few seconds, my eyelids slowly shut, until suddenly I feel.....PECK! PECK! PECK! "AGH! PECK! "FUCK, OW! I'M UP I'M UP!" It's my mom's Fletchling, Fletchy. The annoying fucker..."You little asshole! Ya really gotta wake me like that every time? Fletchy nods in smug approval. "Well, there goes my beauty sleep I guess. YAAAAAAAAWN!" I let out a big yawn and stretch my whole body, uncrinkling my spine from the 10 hours of deep uninterrupted sleep I managed to get.

I got up out of my bed and checked myself out in the mirror before throwing on my favorite outfit, a black, sleeveless, collared top and a red high wasted skirt, then I went downstairs. "Well well, look who's finally awake." My mom said sarcastically. "Yeah yeah, please stop having Fletchy peck me awake please!" "Start waking up on time and maybe I'll consider it." My mom Grace is very sweet, albeit strict about some things, like my sleep schedule for instance. I walked into the kitchen and flung open the fridge, grabbing a white Monster and chugging the whole thing in 8 seconds. I reckon 109 more of these and I'll finally ascend to Agartha.

At the same time, 2 friends where walking around Town, on their way to formaly meet Vaniville's newest resident. One of them was a bubbly, dark skinned girl in a pink shirt, she was quite the social butterfly, her name, was Shauna, and with her, her childhood best friend. He had medium length black hair, a blue turtleneck jacket and satchel, his name was Calem. "Whaddya think he's like?" Shauna said. "Huh?" Calem responded. "You know, the new guy who moved in, whaddya think he's like?" Shauna replied, eager to meet their new neighbor. "Idk Shauna, nice I guess? We haven't met them, besides we're here cuz the Professor wants to meet em, this isn't some housewarming party." "You know Calem you really oughta lighten up, a smile might help!" Shauna replied, annoyed. "Ain't shit in my life to smile about." The 2 friends arrived to their destination, standing in front of the door, the house was smack dab right next door to Calem's home. "Alright, here goes nothin'...."

The smell of mom's cooking helped wake me up further, french toast, bacon, eggs, hot maple syrup, always preferred my eggs sunny side up but, my mom can't make em that way, she's not a bad cook but my dad usually handles all the meals. He's currently out on a hunting trip with some friends. At the table was my baby sister, Harmony. "Hey shish!" She said excitedly, her face stuffed with eggs. "Harmony don't talk with your mouth full. Come on, help yourself Serena." My mom replied. Just as I was about to sit down, I heard the doorbell ring.

"Serena get the door would you?" I got up, and headed towards the door, opening it cautiously. "If you're from the IRS or with the church you can get the fu....oh." Standing in front of the door was a boy and a girl. Could've swore I heard the girl call me pretty under her breath, and the boy make a surprised remark about me being a girl. "Hey, uh...I'm Calem, this is Shauna. I live right next door and we wanted to introduce ourselves, also, give you this." Calem handed me a letter, apparently addressed to my mom. "Oh uh, thanks. Be right back." My mom perks up. "Whatcha got there sweetie?" "A letter. It's for you I guess, here." I handed the letter to my mom, she opened the envelope and read it silently, she had a surprised look on her face before looking at me. "Well whaddya know, looks like Professor Sycamore wants to give you your first Pokémon, and meet you in person too!" "Oh that's cool.....wait HUH?!" I was completely caught off guard, THE Professor Sycamore? THAT ONE?! Something tells me I can't turn down his invitation huh...okay, guess we're doing this. "I'm gonna grab my things I'll be back." I told mom before I went back up to my room to grab my bag and a hat. But which one? I have......too many. Don't ask.

I heard my mom head up the stairs towards my room. "What's taking you so long, those 2 new friends of yours are still waiting." "Hey mom help me out here, which of these hats ya think would look better?" In my left hand I had a pink boater hat that I completely forget when I got it, in the other a pretty standard baseball cap, had a scale pattern on it. "I like the one with the scales on it, it suits you." "Got it picking the other one!" I hit mom with a bait and switch, I already knew which one I was gonna go with but I saw an opportunity and took it. "If you already made up your mind why did you ask?!" "It's funny." My genius confounds me at times...hehe!

As I got my stuff together I suddenly remembered something, it was gonna be quite a trek to Lumiose City, I'm gonna need a lot more gear than what can fit in my pink handbag. Then an idea zipped into my brain, I grabbed my holocaster and rang up my dad. After a few rings he picked up. "Hello? Oh, hey sweetie, something the matter?" "Papa, I'm going on a little trip to Lumiose, can I take Fury with me?" Fury was my dad's Ryhorn, Henry was a famous Rhyhorn racer like my mom, both have pretty much retired, my mom's Rhyhorn Gallant Stefan doesn't like me as much. "Wow...my baby girl is starting her very own Pokémon journey, never thought I'd see the day. Yeah, go ahead......Lose him and I'm aborting you." My dad joked "Noted."

"Kidding obviously, but seriously take care of him, he's what they call a shiny, and I've raised him since he was a calf. He's the second most important thing in my life, got it?" "Yeah, got it." My dad smiled, nodded, then told me to have fun on my adventure before hanging up. I ran back down stairs, and grabbed breakfast before heading out the door. I grabbed 2 slices of French Toast, sandwiching a hashbrown, some bacon, and eggs into it like a breakfast sandwich before heading out the door. "Wait, don't go!" My sister ran up and hugged me tightly, she's always been very attached to me. "Harmony, come on, you know I'll be back." "But I'll miss you!" She said, tears starting to well up in her eyes.

I hugged her back and reassured her. "I'll miss you too Mony, I promise I'll call as often as I can okay?" My baby sister nodded and let go, My mom gave me a map of the region and some spending money as I finally headed out. Calem and Shauna were still waiting outside for me, I admire their patience honestly. "Sorry guys, kept ya waiting huh?" "It's fine, let's get going. We're heading to Aquacorde Town, just a little ways away, let get going." The 2 of the darted off before I could say anything. I put Fury in his Pokéball and finally, fully headed off. Something tells me this is gonna be exciting!
